Gosport is pleasant. The area around Spring Garden Lane Apartments has some lovely houses, a beautifully converted rail station, green open areas.
We ate at The New Benghal Indian restaurant. We also lunched at The Gosport Cafe. Both were very good.
The apartment was within walking distance of the Gosport passenger ferry which takes you Portsmouth harbour.

The fun fare, archades, Fish n chips, nice ice cream shop on Lea in Solent and one stop shop near the Old Lodge hotel - excellent.
The toilets on the Lee on Solent need attention - for hand-washing, water was not working and there was no soap.

Great walk along sea front, lovely view over to the Isle of Wight. Watching the Sailing boats was very relaxing. Gosport town doesn’t have much to offer, but a ferry across to Gunwharf Keys, is a great idea.
I think I got the wrong room, it was huge! It had a double bed and 2 singles as well as a table and 4 chairs, fridge and microwave, a full set of plates, cups, cutlery, etc., and an en-suite with a lovely shower. The man who checked me in was really friendly and helped me with the wi-fi, etc. The location was also great. Only a 5-minute walk to the main shopping centre and the Gosport to Portsmouth ferry. The free car park is at the back of the hotel and around the corner is a fantastic Italian restaurant.
The hotel is a stunning old building in a beautiful location. We had a sea view room which gave us a panoramic view of the ocean and surrounding trees. There was a roll top bath inside the windows which felt like absolute luxury. The room had such nice touches to the decoration, it really felt as though love and care had been put into everything. The staff were ever so welcoming too; couldn’t do enough for us. Our dogs were made to feel right at home.
It's a beautiful house, we have booked Brockhurst Lodge before, it's comfortable, clean and warm. It has everything we needed for a short break. There's also books, games and DVDs if we wanted them. There is a dedicated parking space. It's convenient because it's close to a shopping area and it's only a short drive to Gosport and the ferry to Portsmouth.
Room clean and comfortable.
Kettle in room with generous supply of tea and coffee.
Excellent choice for breakfast which was continental.
Owner and all staff were so friendly and helpful.
I was made so welcome!
Location excellent being a 10 minute walk from Gosport shopping centre and the ferries across to Portsmouth.
The location was easy to find

The host was really great to deal with
My grandson loved the shower
Have stayed here now multiple times and I can't speak highly enough of the hotel and staff. Always accommodating and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, the food is of the highest order which is hard to find these days. My goto now when working in the area.
Our stay at Spring Garden was fantastic, really lovely apartment. With everything you could need for a relaxing break.
Was a pleasure to meet Heather lovely lady with great stories to tell about the building and surrounding area.
Great quiet location, lovely walks by the Solent or through the woods from the hotel grounds. Nice sea view garden to eat/sit in. Cute historic building. The Continental breakfast was croissants, yogurt, fruit and toast.
It was a great welcome by Kirsty. The location was excellent, and the hotel was easy to find. There was off road parking for a number of cars, if the hotel had been full, then road parking would have been needed.
