Breakfast was good
Creaky floorboards! If we stayed again we'd ask for an upstairs room.
Stayed in the Loren Suite! A nice sitting room and a bedroom with interesting décor. Décor will not be to everyone's taste.
Unfortunately the Loren Suite is directly over the bar and on a Friday Night they have a banging disco which seemed to end at 1.30am! Incredibly slow service in the restaurant.
24 hours bar breakfast good bathroom/shower bed
did'nt bothe me but imagine it could be noise of a night being a busy public bar as well as a hotel.
This beautifully quaint quirky building was extremely comfortable, and set in a gorgeous friendly village. We got just what we wanted and would definitely revisit. If you stay here, a must visit is little Italy, amazing Italian food!!!
No food served on Sundays, not great for a weary traveller, but staff were good enough to recommend local places and print off several place details for us.
Friendly welcoming staff. Clean, comfortable rooms.
Breakfast was poor! Not enough staff. Tables set up with knife and fork only, everything else had to be requested - milk and spoons for cereals, sauces, side plates, butter, etc. Menu offered various options but every breakfast ordered came swimming in chopped tinned tomatoes which were not even an option. Disappointing.
We were allocated a suite at a good price and it was very comfortable, we stayed two nights. Breakfast was first class - nothing too much trouble, lovely big cups of fresh coffee.
The location was not great with some traffic noise. The eating area was a bit tired.
Staff service Food quality
Noise outside until 1am Room was cramped
Loved the Hepburn Suite for comfort and space, food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner, staff very friendly
Room decor Breakfast was delicious Bed very comfortable
No wi-fi details in the room No food on Sunday Towels really small. Shower didn't drain properly
It was a nice atmospher in the bar nice food bedrooms lovely and spacious
Easy going atmosphere, covered all my needs, thank you for a pleasant stay.
Breakfast was better on Monday morning, compared with Sundays. But all fine ,apart from toast served on same plate as breakfast, making it a bit soggy.
We had a one night stay on the way to Yorkshire, it was a perfect stop over with lovely staff and a lovely clean suite.

Sofa in room (too upright and narrow) Cracked tea-cups
Small bed Noisy
Lovely clean hotel. Staff were helpful and attentive. Great position. Room was nice but wasn't too keen on the separate bathroom although it was just for our use. Fab breakfast with plenty of choice.
The room was very warm but other than the bathroom been separate it was ok
The individuality of the room. The friendliness of the staff, who were polite and helpful.
The fact that there was weeks of dust on top of the wardrobe and although the room was a double room the bed seemed almost like a 3/4 double bed. There wasn't much room in the room and the bed took up most of it. I had to put the kettle on the floor to boil it as there was no socket at the same level as the kettle and the cable wasn't long enough to reach the floor.
Friendly greeting on arrival.minor problems quickly sorted out. Good breakfast
Rather noisy outside until late but it was a fine warm night.
Very helpful staff and interestingly themed rooms
The steps up to the hotel rooms could be tricky when it's icy
Very nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast. Good location as well, easy to get into town and to other places from the hotel.
A bit noisy on warm nights when the pub spills out into the car park if your room is on that side and you want the window open! But that's probably unavoidable.
Very friendly staff and a good breakfast.
Very welcoming and managed to accomodate my dairy free diet without difficulty.
Had booked room with a separate bathroom (no en suite being available) but it was advertised as a bathroom and turned out to be a shower room only - we had done a 20 mile walk and had expected to be able to have a relaxing soak afterwards! Sadly we could not.
Friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, standard of food and good choice of food. Would definitely stay there again.
Staff were all very helpful and cheery. Food was well presented. Room was clean and comfortable.
Friday night/Saturday morning in Dronfield/Manor House a bit lively.so as our room was at the front, not much sleep was had! Bathroom across the hall was a bit inconvenient - we had The Monroe room.
Comfortable suite with good facilities. Bathroom accessories good
Only one bedside light. Would prefer plates not bowls for breakfast and put side pelted on table
