The Manor Hotel and Restaurant

Staff were very friendly large free car park large room

This was our 4th visit to the Manor Hotel and as usual the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was very clean and bright and the outlook from our room was very relaxing, the bed was, as most Hotel bed's a bit on the hard side.

this visit had one big let down, the food was not up to it's usual standard, Ordered 2 home cured ham sandwiches at the bar only to get what looked like processed ham, The breakfast was over cooked and cold This Hotel has always served us well in the past and only hope this was just a one off, we will visit again.

Room was comfortable and clean. Gardens surrounding hotel were pleasant. Evening meal was very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Good free Wi-Fi connection.

Food on pricey side, potato's with main meal were an extra side dish. At breakfast, tea and coffee served from a flask, no pot on the table and only one single butter pat with toast.

The quality of food was good.

The rooms are small and cold. They are very with a very small TV screen. It is more of a B and B than hotel.

Got put in a room with a view of the air conditioning units and the arc lights of the rear car park. A shame as the hotel was clearly not full (only a few at breakfast) and the views from other rooms were over countryside.

Penthouse suite was BUDGET no luxury. Tiny TV's with freeview. Uncomfortable hard sofa. Dirty tiny bathroom with no bath. Bed was two singles pushed together so just moved apart everytime you moved in the night. One lamp was broken. Both lamps had holes in the shades. Generally stained and dirty. Food was mediocre for the price!! Wasn't offered the "free" full English breakfast. All in all very poor!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant were excellent.

For an above average hotel there were cracked tiles and a broken seat in the bathroom something I would not expect to see.

Nice room, good bed. Handy for Lakeside.

Already discussed with the duty manager but, bathroom not clean, ended up eating room service as main menu too expensive and not offered bar menu, breakfast waitress told us she couldn't be bothered to bring menu, sat us right next to the only other occupied table (very close) and then got the order wrong, overall a bit hit and miss. Received apologies but nothing else.

- Lovely big room - really nicely decorated. - hotel very clean. - Staff friendly. - Tasty breakfast.

-Bed had a split down the middle - would have been nice to have a proper double bed. -Towels in bathroom were slightly threadbare - could perhaps do with replacing. Apart from those two very minor things there is nothing I didn't like!

Very pleasent staff on arrival and throughout our stay, we attended due to a reunion shame we did not have it here.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, both in the restaurant and reception staff. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was large with good flow.

Original greeting on arrival was excellent. Room was very clean and comfortable.

No face flannel. At breakfast I did not find the waiters very attentive.. In fact they were reading the newspaper behind the bar more than looking after me (initially I was the only one in the restaurant 8.15 am Sunday.A Lady was shouting instructions to another member of staff at the top of her voice.(Peaceful Sunday start). Breakfast.. A bit indifferent.. Where on earth do these places get the idea that baked beans, black pudding and potato croquet are English.. The bread/toast was awful. The sort of toast that turns to sand in your mouth. The Sausage was Excellent. I would certainly stay again. Very clean and comfortable.
