The Manor Guest house  

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived...everything was just brilliant!

Lovely food, staff very friendly and helpful, comfortable, clean rooms.

Peter and Ann were most accommodating before and throughout my stay at The Manor. I stayed for 2 nights. My circumstances were such that I was looking after my baby grandson during the day whilst my daughter and son-in-law moved into their new house in Cheadle. Peter and Ann ensured that I had all that I needed in the room to take care of the baby and he was most welcome in the dining area. My daughter and son-in-law were also made welcome in the dining room as guests for breakfast and evening meal, which was superb. There was a wedding to prepare and cater for, but that had not diminished Peter and Ann's care for guests not involved with the wedding. Our needs were just as important. Would definitely recommend The Manor to anyone visiting the area.

We booked Manor Stables there and everything was absolutely lovely! The house was clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and breakfast was delicious! We would definitely recommend this place 100%

Great place and great guy the owner was, made very welcome, the food was lovely, the place was immaculate, 10 out 10 keep up the great work - only thing missing is an extra star which it deserves 5*

Cold Room until a convector heater magically appeared upon our return to the room and eventually warmed it up, the heating was on but had not been on prior to arrival Negative Family room when double booked. Positive Extra quilt came in handy

The helpfulness and friendliness of both owner and staff was second to none lovely atmosphere and food comfortable room situated in a lovely courtyard made this a very present stay would stay there again and would recommend to others

There was not a thing that we did not like

The Manor Guest House is a lovely place to stay, the staff are fantastic and nothing was too much to ask for. The owner Peter was very friendly and provided exceptional service to our large party of 14. In particular, he kindly held our dinner reservation when we arrived late on the first night. The food was delicious and fresh at both dinner and breakfast times. We were visiting Alton Towers during our trip and Peter was very helpful in booking a minibus for our group, which saved a lot of organisation on our part, leaving us to enjoy the day out. We stayed in The Stables, which was suitable for our large party. This was well presented, very spacious and would recommend to other groups.

We went to the Manor Guest for two nights, and we had a lovely stay, everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Our room and all the facilities were excellent. I highly recommend staying here.

There was nothing I didn't like about the Manor House, it was lovely. My only reservation is that there isn't a lot to do in Cheadle, but it is a perfect location if you are going to Alton Towers like we did or if you are planning to go to the Peak District as it is only 20 minutes away.

Very pleasant Guest House, spacious family room, lovely gardens and staff very welcoming and helpful.

Slightly off putting when your satnav directs you to the back of the hotel via housing estate which appears to be an overflow car park. Image is of a run down boarded up social club but then you walk through a wooden gate to a different sciene all together. This could initially put you off and give you cause to re-think whether you have booked the right place.

The hotel is ideally placed for our trip to Alton Towers, been only a few miles down the road. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very good. One of the decisions to stay at the guest house were that the pictures on the website disputed what looked like a country manor house. However upon arrival we discovered it was situated just on the one way road system of Cheadle and not in the countryside as we thought. I would certainly stay there again. Overall a very nice stay.

I was visiting a sick relative in the nearby hospital. On check in I was given a Comfortable room overlooking the lovely garden. Staff all very helpful and given the upsetting circumstances of my visit it was nice to come back in the evening to people who were genuinely kind and caring and not some anonymous chain hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and good choice

It's a beautiful old building with lots of character so you do hear the odd creak etc but nothing that kept me awake and I'm a very light sleeper.

The owners/staff are friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is well organised and tasty - dined there one evening too - very nice meal! All in all a pleasant, stress free stay - recommended.

Comfort, friendly, good food.

The purpose of our stay was Alton Towers,it was in easy reach and easy to find.

Beautiful gardens. Easy parking. Good powerful shower.

Beds uncomfortable. Lights too dim for makeup etc. Very small opening window in family room. Exceedingly hot and no fan. Lack of space for tea tray, kettle etc. Had to keep unplugging lamps or kettle etc for hairdryer/straightener etc.

We booked the hotel for one night in view of its location relative to Alton Towers. We arrived early evening so really only used the hotel to have a sleep/shower/breakfast which worked fine.

Not really a negative, more a comment, as the evening Dinner Menu looked good but was a bit more formal than we wanted, so we adjourned to the nearby Weatherspoon's for a snack (which has a great balcony on the back, which we used as it was sunny)

Cheadle is a lovely town set in beautiful countryside. The Guest House has a beautiful garden and is very peaceful. The staff were lovely very helpful and the food was good. Iwould use it again if I was in that area.

Very friendly staff. The rooms, which were located through a lovely set garden (complete with fish pond), were spacious and comfortable. Recommend the Manor Guest house to any type of travelling, either as a base or simply somewhere to relax.

Everything was excellent. Cant think of anything bad to say about The Manor. Staff friendly, Food excellent, Accomodation excellent. Great value for money. Will be staying again for longer next time.
