The owners made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms had everything you needed and I'm sure if you were wanting the owners would assist you. The accommodation is ideal if visiting Alton Towers - easy 15 min drive -but far enough to be "away from it all". The village itself is quite quaint with some lovely little restaurants. Garden area at the manor would be lovely in summer - a really relaxing location. Parking also a plus point.
Comfortable beds, friendly owners, great breakfast. Owners were happy to accommodate a roll away bed after I accidentally booked a single room!
Couldn't get the WiFi to work but we didn't ask either
It was a shame that the restaurant was not open on our second night as the food was fantastic
A very warm welcome from the owners, homely feel in the bar, fabulous food and great facilities in the room. Plenty of parking and all round a lovely place to stay.
Lovely place with a very welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic and Peter was very helpful and friendly.
my son couldn't connect to Wi-Fi which wasn't a problem for us..in fact it was a good thing!!
Warmly welcomed into the manor house and given lots of information on where to find everything. The location is great with plenty of off road parking. A great stay for visiting Alton Towers. Staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was superb.
Everything was fine
Clean, tidy. Friendly service. Good breakfast.
Two day trip to visit Alton towers and The Manor House was absolutely fantastic food was brilliant the room was cosy and comfortable and the staff were like family absolutely fantastic
The food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast. Surroundings were very pleasant. Interesting and historical building. Very charming and attentive staff Perfect location with easy access to Alton Towers
The staff were friendly the grounds were beautiful, rooms were amazing value for money!! Will defo be back. In comparison to everywhere else I looked for somewhere near to Alton Towers there's no where else I'd go. Breakfast was the bomb also.
That I wasn't there for longer! :P
Peter the owner was brilliant.
The most comfortable bed I have every slept in when traveling. Have been going down to Alton Towers for the last 5 years now and its the best sleep my partner and I have ever had. Great location as well,15 min drive from park. Lovely breakfast too, sets you up for the rest of your day.
lovely staff, breakfast was great, good location
unfortunately particularly on the second night it was so noisy from other guests, it was as if they were moving furniture most of the night and neighbours talking at the top of their voices - all led to us being very very tired
Excellent hospitality, fabulous breakfast.
Toilet too close to shower cubicle
Above all the owners ! (very helpfull, informative & friendly)
The staff were so polite and welcoming and for that reason alone we would come back. The Manor itself has beautiful gardens. Breakfast was excellent
Great location for alton towers Such a welcome from the minute we arrived Excellent food and service Lovely grounds Lovely homely spacious rooms and en suite
Fantastic staff! Amazing dinner, highly recommended. The grounds and surroundings were lovely.
Rooms were very warm at night. There was no air getting into the room. Maybe a fan or air conditioning
The staff - very friendly and attentive. The location practical for ALTON TOWERS. less than 20 mins drive. The food - amazing dinner. Very clean. Free wifi.
The noise from the stairs next to our room were quite loud and creeky - the kids early in the morning woke us running up and down them. Bed was harder than what we are used to. The bathroom was a bit dated. No fridge or ironing board in the room.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while on a quick get away. The owners we so warm and welcoming as if we were family. The meals were unbelievably fresh and would definitely recommend dining in when you get the chance. We loom forward to our next stay!
Cleanliness of rooms Friendly owners Beautiful surroundings
Creaky floorboards in corridor disturbed our sleep. Hard, high pillows
Great location, the staff were so attentive, rooms were modern and the beds were very comfortable. If you're looking in the area, look no further.
Lovely garden, nice bar, good quality breakfast well cooked.owners and staff pleasant and helpful. Had a good menu for the evening meal which we enjoyed. Would go again and recommend to others.
Could be clearer about acess to main car park as we ended up going around one way system unnecessarly. Also the 24a junction on motor way referred to on website directions no longer exists.
Peter & Ann were excellent hosts and their staff did them proud. The relaxed atmosphere coupled with the subtle professional service made our stay a perfect opportunity to celebrate a birthday
All good although the chips raised a few eyebrows at dinner.....
the only thing i can moan about is the wifi couldnt reach the little barn house next door and the breakfast could have been alittle bigger
