Staff very accommodating and taking the extra mile to make you comfortable and welcome. Cozy lounges.
Very small room and shower cubicle and I am a petite woman.
Staff quite friendly. Bed clean and comfortable.
Bathroom door didn't close. TV didn't work Too expensive
The size of the premier room The excellent location Early check-in Quiet even on an air show weekend
Tatty. faded furnishings Uncomfortable bed Long hike to the room Poor, cold, cooked breakfast The price
Excellent customer service.....very friendly welcome. Rooms were old fasioned but clean.
It was like a maze to get to our rooms but that was minor.
Dirty room Very dated run down Awful breakfast Dirty restaurant
Barman was very good and chatty
Full breakfast was a bit standard
location helpful staff
in need of redecoration disgusting standard of offered room's bathroom acceptable room only offered when about to cancel
The location right on the seafront was excellent, and having a room with sea view was great.
The bathroom was a little shabby: the taps were difficult to turn off properly, and the shower was difficult to adjust.
Location Helpful reception staff Single room was large and well equipped
Bar tariff should be prominently displayed Management discussions with staff should be done in private
All the staff were always very helpful and frendly
Could do with new lift
Location and car parking arrangements
Room 324 could have done with an armchair
Sea view, small garden, helpful staff, good breakfast
There were a few things in my room which needed attention. No sink plug, bathroom door knob falling off, unsafe light switch taped up, ceiling light not working. I reported these on checking out & the staff member was very apologetic. I' sure they will put these problems right.
toilet didnt work told someone they told me to flush 4 X - kind of worked
Location and good standards
I have been fined for parking in front of the hotel on Sunday because of poor explanotion from the receptionist.
the hotel was nice the room was clean and spacious breakfast was enjoyable and staff were very nice.
You couldnt get a drink or snack etc after a certain time like u can in the majority of hotels if your a guest and the bed was so hard we got no sleep whatsoever!
Only thing i liked it looked really nice when you walk in. Then all downhill from that
I booked the hotel room for two and was told it would be 54pound. When we got there. We wasnt on system. Then said my girlfriend had to pay 47pound to stay even though my booking said 54pound. When we got to the room it was very dirty and wasnt impressed when we got there and it made it worse we nearly refused to stay and ask for my money back but we had no other options where to go. We also refused to have breakfast because of the loud music in the morning dont mind music but it was far to loud. Tried to complain about our stay but stuff just said sorry and asked us to leave
The ground floor setting and the deco is beautiful plus The restaurant.
The upstairs is difficult, the corridors are so tiny, bedspread to old and not attractive, bed sheets had holes/tone. The 4th floor was dripping due rain water from the ceiling with 2 buckets to help the situation.2 Storage rooms widely open for guests to see where all the stuffs are kept. Not very present to look at.
Good car parking nearby. Other attractions very accessible
Needed a good airing.
Staff were excellent and facilities were satisfactory.
The cooked part of the breakfast was a bit sparse.
Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was very nice.
Rooms/corridors needs a lick of paint
The hotel was very well situated on the seafront. My room was were comfortable and breakfast was reasonable. There's a secret garden with baby rabbits in it.
Sound insulation between the rooms wasn't perfect. This would have been OK except that next door to me were deaf guests who put their TV on full volume at 6 am. Even after I'd rung them and asked them to turn it down, I could still watch my own TV on mute while listening to theirs. I suppose the hotel management can never legislate for guests like this, but if I'd been on holiday and hadn't had to get up early for work, I would have been really annoyed.
