Everything, really nice little private facility, very attentive hosts
It was warm and welcoming with friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean and excellent facilities. First class breakfast too.
It's hard to find anything I didn't like. The WiFi wasn't very good in our room, maybe due to the thickness of the 18 century walls. The car park was a bit small but not really a problem..
The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was cooked to order with plenty choice. Would definitely recommend a stay here
The shower was slightly on the small side.
A very pleasant stay was had by myself, brother and a friend. The host was charming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, clean and homely and the breakfast was delicious. All up, tremendous value for money !
2nd time I have stayed and would defo stay again. Breakfast fantastic and only couple minutes of the motorway.
The managers were away so the owners were looking after us. They were very friendly! The place was clean and comfy, the was a small bar and breakfast included. We had somewhere to store our bikes overnight so we didn't need to worry about any rain. There's a couple of handy places to go for food nearby.
The Lodge was spotless, and there was ample car parking. The breakfast was also superb.
Staff where did more than expected. Home cooking was great
Lovely staff Nice rooms Very good breakfast Feels like home- a bit
Location- terrible. Its next to a very busy road. Noise is so intense I could barely sleep. So regardless how nice couple who runs it is in my opinion because of location I would not come back unfortunately.
Excellent Management Good food and breakfast and evening meals. Excellent value for money. Very friendly owners.
Cleanliness, breakfast, value.
The friendly, nothing is to much trouble attitude of the owners was outstanding. Excellent breakfast and lovely very clean facilities made our stay an absolute pleasure. I have no hesitation in recommending Maple Lodge to anyone. We will definitely be booking again.
Great food, very friendly stuff
Excellent breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good. Room clean.
Smell of damp in rooms. Asked to be moved because of noise from main road and the other room also had a musty smell but not as bad as the first one. Breakfast was 7.30-8.40am. Ok for business people but not for us.
Very nice quiet room with good facilities. Breakfast excellent value and a wide choice. Very good and pleasent staff. Thank you very much maple lodge.
Nothing to dislike
Very friendly couple that run the lodge. I also enjoyed the home cooking, private parking and the location was spot on for ease of access to Blackburn. It was very peaceful at night too.
Literally have no complaints about my stay, thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it.
Great food. Friendly staff Jill and Rob who where so helpful.
Locality ,breakfast & staff
Shower was not best but the rest was great
Warm hospitality from our hosts!Clean, comfortable rooms with security, privacy, and an off-the-street car park if you need one. It's in a fairly quiet neighborhood, but there's a decent pub/restaurant just up the street or you can order supper right there in their little dining room. The food was wonderful! We would definitely stay there again.
It's not walking distance to the train station, but a cab ride is easy enough, and preferable with luggage.
We tavelled from Crewe to family wedding and asked if pssible could we have 1 room for us to chane When we arrived both rooms were ready
Although located on a very busy A Road, the Maple Lodge was the perfect location for us because it was right by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. My husband and I were cycling the length of the canal in stages over 4 days staying at B&B's along the way. We would both recommend the Maple Lodge. The owners were very welcoming. The place was spotless and the breakfast was freshly cooked and really nice. There is triple glazing on the windows so traffic noise was minimal.
The only thing that was annoying was the TV reception in the bedroom which kept fluctuating in and out of reception. This could have been because we were in the annexe part on the ground floor at the back of the main house. I'm sure the owners would have been responsive if we had mentioned this but we didn't because we only stayed one night.
After 24 hrs travel it was great to get a good nights sleep. Thanks for the jug of milk - it was just what I needed.
