Score from 59 reviews Superb
Good location and some on site parking, but only small area, might need to reserve. Free street parking between 6pm and 8am. Shower good.
Room quite small and no where to hang or put clothes - there was a luggage rack, but nothing else. Power points are badly located and tricky to use - especially if you use lap top.
Location - close to shops and other local pubs. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Excellent shower.
The bedroom furniture - chest of drawers was broken and damaged. Room was very dark, needs to be brightened up with a lighter colour scheme. Drinks were very expensive.
Welcoming and friendly staff Cosy atmosphere Great food Great choice of wines Ideal location
The food and the atmosphere
Some sort of refrigeration unit that kept going off and on during the night that kept me awake
Love the feel of the place warm and welcoming
Crisp white bedlinen, convenient location, good price
Characterful building....friendly staff
Directions to parking...only 2teabags !
Good service and good breakfast. Potentially an excellent venue.
No wardrobe, only parking space for two cars and nowhere else to parking you don't get one. The room was small (the smallest I've ever been to in this country) and overlooked a courtyard which was noisy when we arrived (guests) and noisier when we tried to sleep (two speakers providing entertainment outside, one of them about three feet from our window). It was dark and to my knowledge there were no customers outside.
Loved the room.
Noise got louder, need sound turned down.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely room. Very comfortable bed. Quite location. Free parking.
The atmosphere the staff, the food was very good. The bed in my room was very comfortable. Bathroom was small but clean. But overall enjoyed the stay
The decor in my room was depressing, needed pictures or something. The bathroom walls other than the shower decorating.
THE ROOM AND THE BATHROOM
THE CARPETS ON THE STAIRS AND HALLWAY WERE FILTHY THE ROOM WAS NICE AND CLEAN AND A NICE BATHROOM THE PUBLIC AREAS AND FRONT DOOR NEED PAINTING
We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent and so was the service. Every single staff member was wonderful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and had many pillows to choose from. The room was done beautifully. The location was quiet and off street parking is a plus.
The shower was beautiful but the water pressure was poor. I prefer a mirror in both the bathroom and bedroom and there was no mirror in the bedroom area.
staff very helpfull
Friendly and responsive staff, food in the restaurant on evening
Quality of breakfast food on offer No problem with Self service but poor selection of breads etc
Great vibe, food and atmosphere everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable.Situated right in the town so you just pop out the front door and it is all happening.
Really loved the room, beautiful!! Bathroom was fantastic.location was perfect for me. Breakfast was good, nice choices for a continental breakfast.staff were really helpful and happy people. Would love to stay again!
Great location Great food Great staff
No bed side tables or lights. Breakfast was poor. No fruit, white toast and waited 20 minutes but was never offered cooked breakfast, as we were pushed for time we could not wait any longer.
Fantastic food Extremely helpful and friendly staff Comfortable room Accommodated bikes readily
The staff were excellent and very helpful
The room was too small, too hot and too noisy. To be fair It was a particularly hot day so the pub courtyard was full and the world cup football was on.
No cooked breakfast. Room very hot, window wouldn't open very far.
A thoughtful conversion of an old pub, maintaining all original features. Spacious room with very comfy bed, lovely duvet, plenty of towels. Gorgeous courtyard. Very friendly staff.
Not so much didn't like but would ask for a dressing table in "Teachers" and a mirror (only one was in the bathroom). Oh, and somewhere to put things (shampoo etc) in the shower.
Well positioned for the Jazz Festival we were attending.
When we booked we were told that there was parking at the hotel and no booking was required. when we arrived there was a tiny car park apparantly occupied by three staff cars and no car parking for guests. We were not told by staff on arrival that booking for the restaurant was required and when we turned up for dinner we were told the restaurant was fully booked no cooked breakfast available, we expected this at the prices we were paying
