Score from 53 reviews Wonderful
Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely room. Very comfortable bed. Quite location. Free parking.
The atmosphere the staff, the food was very good. The bed in my room was very comfortable. Bathroom was small but clean. But overall enjoyed the stay
The decor in my room was depressing, needed pictures or something. The bathroom walls other than the shower decorating.
THE ROOM AND THE BATHROOM
THE CARPETS ON THE STAIRS AND HALLWAY WERE FILTHY THE ROOM WAS NICE AND CLEAN AND A NICE BATHROOM THE PUBLIC AREAS AND FRONT DOOR NEED PAINTING
We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent and so was the service. Every single staff member was wonderful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and had many pillows to choose from. The room was done beautifully. The location was quiet and off street parking is a plus.
The shower was beautiful but the water pressure was poor. I prefer a mirror in both the bathroom and bedroom and there was no mirror in the bedroom area.
staff very helpfull
Friendly and responsive staff, food in the restaurant on evening
Quality of breakfast food on offer No problem with Self service but poor selection of breads etc
Great vibe, food and atmosphere everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable.Situated right in the town so you just pop out the front door and it is all happening.
Really loved the room, beautiful!! Bathroom was fantastic.location was perfect for me. Breakfast was good, nice choices for a continental breakfast.staff were really helpful and happy people. Would love to stay again!
Great location Great food Great staff
No bed side tables or lights. Breakfast was poor. No fruit, white toast and waited 20 minutes but was never offered cooked breakfast, as we were pushed for time we could not wait any longer.
Fantastic food Extremely helpful and friendly staff Comfortable room Accommodated bikes readily
The staff were excellent and very helpful
The room was too small, too hot and too noisy. To be fair It was a particularly hot day so the pub courtyard was full and the world cup football was on.
No cooked breakfast. Room very hot, window wouldn't open very far.
A thoughtful conversion of an old pub, maintaining all original features. Spacious room with very comfy bed, lovely duvet, plenty of towels. Gorgeous courtyard. Very friendly staff.
Not so much didn't like but would ask for a dressing table in "Teachers" and a mirror (only one was in the bathroom). Oh, and somewhere to put things (shampoo etc) in the shower.
Well positioned for the Jazz Festival we were attending.
When we booked we were told that there was parking at the hotel and no booking was required. when we arrived there was a tiny car park apparantly occupied by three staff cars and no car parking for guests. We were not told by staff on arrival that booking for the restaurant was required and when we turned up for dinner we were told the restaurant was fully booked no cooked breakfast available, we expected this at the prices we were paying
breakfast rather poor
noisy with kids still in beer garden at 11.15pm, check your licence conditions! Only continental breakfast
The staff was excellent and welcoming. The place had old world feel yet modern amenities. Bar quality was great and everyone was pleasant even though they were very busy with the Jazz fest.
The room was quite warm and the temp was locked. I had to leave a window open and the rain soaked the widow seat which in turn ran color on to a coat and wreaked it. My fault but still...
Central location - friendly atmosphere
Continental breakfast only
Size of the room The bed Coffee machine New bathroom The bar downstairs is beautiful Location
Drain in shower No information about existing malfunction Breakfast and service during it Room located directly above bar gives a lot of noise
Cozy atmosphere, lovely decor, friendly welcome, nicely presented breakfast, dinner menu items were delicious with exception of one starter
Room in the eaves was warm and stuffy, incorrect starter delivered during dinner, no explanation or attempt to resolve problem, which was disappointing considering everything else was lovely!
good room ,lovely food and breakfast
Lovely room above a really nice pub. Tastefully decorated and really comfy bed. Great continental breakfast too.
Only downside was there no iron or hair dryer.
Comfortable room in a pub serving good beer . We'll located convenient for walking and right on Marlborough high street
Food was expensive for what was served.
