Comfortable beds -- maybe the best I have slept on in European hotels. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

A few little details not as good as our last stay, cheap toiletries and tea/coffee in the room. A shame as it used to feel a bit more luxurious- also, we had our wedding reception here and this stay was for our first anniversary- they knew this but there was no recognition of our repeat business- we spent a lot of money last year and had a large family meal this time and its a shame we weren't made to feel special as a luxury hotel should do.

Room was excellant plenty of space very comfortable bed large bathroom with walk in shower plazma tv and dvd player lighting dimmer switches etc for ambiene tea & coffee maker in room complmentary water decore beutique style overall lovely room breakfast as good as you will have anywhere.

Couldnt find right temperture control level in room to make it cooler.also very hot in resturant (it was very cold outside) food gourmet very good but extremely expensive.Further removed from the "local pub" it use to be strictly restaurant only.

Excellent little hotel in the countryside, everything was super and top !!!! Beautiful room, very nice staff and high quality-food !

We enjoyed our food however not as good as our last visit. Liam was very helpful as was one other waitress but the rest of the team were not at all good. The wine semilia should stick to his role ONLY, It felt like they were trying too hard with the menu without the right venue and drinks very over priced,

very expesive food in very small quantities, quality mainly ok one starter had the main ingredient (duck ) so small as to be almost invisable. Likewise a main course (rabbit) had negligible size rabbit in it. Any vegetables were a tiny token effort. Cost 1 off 2 course meal +1 off 3 course meal + 1 bottle wine £125.00 I thought this sort of food went out in the 1980's

Lovely hotel, which is ideally situated to hop over the Channel using Le Shuttle being a 15 minute drive to the Folkestone terminal. We had the Thomas Berridge room which was just gorgeous. A large bathroom with a huge bath tub and a separate shower. Beautifully furnished room overlooking the garden at the rear and the churchyard behind. As we were fairly late arriving and didn't have time to explore the area, we ate at the hotel restaurant, it was clearly really popular and was quite buzzy for a Wednesday evening. The food was lovely and the waiters were knowledgeable and helpful. We were leaving early the next morning so the manager, Ben, arranged for us to have a cold tray selection and a cafetiere/flask of hot coffee delivered at 6 a.m which was brilliant. If we want some first night luxury to begin our European hols again we will return to the Marquis.

The menu was very different but delicious.Found staff very friendly.

Outstanding in all respects. Really enjoyed all aspects of the stay. Looking forward to going back again.

a perfect choice to stay prior to joining the cruise,and a great place to celebrate and enjoy good food in very pleasant surroundings with friends.

The junior suite we had at the Marquis was quite simply the best accommodation we have stayed in. The attention to detail was superb: biggest bath ever seen in a hotel room and it was lovely having a proper coffee maker. First class accommodation and the evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Staff were wonderful, very friendly. Keep up the good work.
