A lovely away from it all weekend. Small but friendly with good food and a great location. Rooms could do with a bit of updating but still clean. |

Friendly and helpful reception, excellent rooms in keeping with their location i.e. four poster beds and good quality bedding and soft furnishings. Good menu choices and the food was excellent and cooked to order. Highly recommended The bar area could do with a little TLC |

The staff seemed very friendly and effecient - especially the Receptionist who went out of her way to help and appeared to be everywhere!! I really did like my room - it was a good size and charmingly decorated/furnished, however, although the room was generally clean, there were 2 quite large, dark stains on the bedspread, and this, together with an unpleasant smell in the hall (drains?), took the shine off the other much more pleasant aspects of my stay - and I fear some travellers may find this an even greater disappointment than I did. |

Good location for visiting Stratford. Handy to be able to go by train rather than having the problem of parking the car. The room was very pleasant and spacious. Only minor points: We stayed in a premium price room and there was no plug for the wash basin and the top was missing from one of the taps. The view from the window was not one of the best in the hotel. There were no biscuits on the hospitality tray. |

The atmosphere of the place, plus the attractiveness of the room itself and its facilities. Yes, it was a little chilly, and a request that the central heating be made available produced nothing. |

Everything was great. It was a lovely hotel. The public areas and garden were very well kept and tasteful and the room was really nice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was very good. The drinks were a bit over priced. Some previous reviews recommended trying the Masons Arms just down the road as it's a little cheaper but this was a dreadful place so don't bother - just pay the extra. |

Countryside location but proximity to busy town helped by the different travel options-rail, tourist bus etc. Staff very friendly. |

Really nice, unobtrusive staff, generally quiet area, lovely countryside. Great location, very good value for money, good taxi service, ample parking, helpful siteseeing literature, ideal breakfast times on the weekend, (which was of a very good standard & plentyful), really nice modern & clean bathrooms, great shower, room was slightly smaller than it appeared on the site, however very clean &... A little noisy, (quite obvious when you see it as a pub-based inn rather than a hotel! which we should have realised). However this didnt continue late into the night. Where our room was situated unfortunately you could hear every single movement, & exit/entrance of all the guest's. However this cant be helped with older buildings! |

When we arrived at the Mary Arden we went to check in and they hadnt received the confirmation, so they didnt know we were coming. I gave them my my reservation number and they were quite happy to accomodate us luckily they had rooms left at the time. Staff were very efficient and friendly, i would definately recommend this place to anyone. |

I found the staff excellent especially the receptionist who couldn't have been more helpful. Probably one of the best hotels for service I have ever stayed at. |
