The layout of this hotel is extremely quaint and although you have to go outside to get to some of the rooms the undercover walkways and gardens are beautiful even when the weather is against you. The rooms are decorated in a slightly quirky way that gives them real character and the staff at reception and in both the bar and the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful and all the meals were excellent.
My only problem was there was no central light in the room, leaving it lit by only small lamps. This made the room quite dark.
The place. It is like going back in time in some degrees. It has a very interesting history.
It is very expensive for what it is. It does not have the allure of a Relais & Châteaux but the prices are not far off. The staff are nice, but again for that price they need to be a lot more polished in their work. Notwithstanding my negative comments, we did enjoy our weekend, it just could (and should) have been better.
Bed Staff Location Parking Wifi
Bathroom - cheap, old and grotty (though clean). Shower curtain was from 1970s cheap motel. Noise everywhere. Felt like living in hostel. Woke up when neighbour did. Price Only one seat in room
Having visited this hotel for over 45 years I have seen ups & downs and and pleased to say that it is currently well UP! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel functioned very smoothly, we were impressed with the food we had. We will certainly return again!
The weather, but we can't blame thye hotel for that!
A great welcome in a charming hotel. Excellent location. Delicious food.
Shower panel on bath restricted access to taps - must have made cleaning bath a nightmare!
nice very clean bright, spacious modern bathroom, thoughtful touch with the addition of dog basket and treat.
Too much dark Furniture made the bedroom gloomy and no flat surface in the bedroom or bathroom for suitcase and toilet bags etc.
Lovely scenery and location friendly helpfull staff good breakfast.
Poor out of date bathroom getting wet when turning the shower on (cold water). Being charged for drinks we didn't have (didn't check the bill).
Friendly, helpful staff. Food was good
Very poor pillows on bed. Bathroom needing cleaning, the shower head was covered in limescale. The bath had mould in the silicon sealant around it. The sink had really Bad stains on the bowl part and they wouldn't come off. The door handle to the room was loose and didn't dunction correctly.
The location is so beautiful, with the Beaulieu River at the end of the garden. We had a big family party there with all ages and old and young enjoyed it. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great walk to Beaulieu from there. Food was excellent in both the bar and the restaurant.
staff were great. Location fab
The location was lovely The food was fantastic especially as I am a vegetarian and my food was delicious. Very child friendly. We had to wait far too long for our breakfast order but they were very apologetic and it was a good breakfast.
We couldnt get a family room so we had a classic with a child bed put in and the room was far too cramped and not enough space to move around in.
Location, Staff, Breakfast
The hotel in pet friendly and I can only guess from the room smell that the previous occupants had a dog, not good if you have pet related asthma!
Location was perfect, that's the reason why we booked our 24th, 25th and 26th 2014 Christmas break before we left, everything is good hotel, staff etc.
Just when you're in the room at Henry Adams you can't use your mobile to make calls.
Tranquil, yachts gliding silently down river to the sea, the rich history of Bucklers Hard and Beaulieu, good food and welcoming staff, a perfect weekend.
Location, hotel food and wine
Room could have been a bit bigger
Location is obviously excellent. Staff were relaxed, calm and thoroughly efficient. There was nothing pretentious just first class atmosphere.
room was abit dark and dingy
An excellent comfortable hotel with top class facilities. I have never slept in such a comfortable hotel bed and the facilities in the room were excellent. The food and service was first class and the location is brilliant.
meals in bar were very good value.
Toilet seat was a very bad fit.
Staff were very friendly and restaurant food was very good. The Hotel had a nice country, personal ambiance.
The room was a little small for a couple with little space for suitcases. Food prices were a little above average. The drive back to the township at night was a little bit dodgy with so many horses wandering the roads.
We were made to feel welcome by all the staff who were very friendly and efficient. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service.
The bathroom needed updating
Efficient and friendly staff, management on top things, a really good atmosphere.
No wi fi or O2 phone coverage (not too much of a problem)
Fabulous & peaceful setting. We were the only two enjoying a drink outside the bar as the sun set. Friendly staff and a most enjoyable dinner. Loved the quirky interior decoration too.
My bedroom blind let in the morning light and coffee at breakfast was weak, but small things compared to our overall enjoyment of our stay.
Great location but drive slowly to avoid Cows Pony's and Donkeys on the roads even in the dark. Great Breakfast menu choices
Restaurant and bar menu choices are to restrictive and over priced, drive a few miles to Lyndhurst or Lymington for Dinner for much better choices at competitive prices
Fabulous views good food and very nice hotel. Would recommend to friends.
The only slight fault that we found was that the wallpaper was peeling off the wall in our room.
