The Meadows is a small B&B with comfortable beds, easy parking, a warm Scottish welcome and a tasty cooked breakfast with homemade bread. The Meadows is just off the A702, the main Carlisle/Edinburgh trunk road. West Linton village has pubs and restaurants, and is a 5 to 10-minute walk from The Meadows. The old conservation village is nestled in the Pentland Hills, 11 miles (17.7 km) south of the Edinburgh City Bypass. Good location, quite village . It was easy to go to Edimburgh by car since the Park and Ride was not so far. Mrs Thain was very kind and helpful. Very good breakfast.

Very friendly people. The location is very nice and quiet. A good choice if you want to visit Edinburgh but have a car and would rather stay in a quieter location. If you don't have a car, you'll be far from everything and will struggle to find places to eat. The hosts say they can cook for you, though.

Замечательная хозяйка, с которой - даже плохо зная язык - можно найти взаимопонимание. Очень тихое, спокойное место. Вечером приятно посидеть в саду с чашечкой чая. Завтрак сервируют в столовой на первом этаже, при этом обстановка отличается домашней самобытностью. Меню традиционное шотландское (почти аналогично full english breakfest).

Skvělé pro přenocování na 1 noc (tranzit), pro delší pobyt trochu stísněné. Výborná paní domácí, skvělá snídaně. Malý prostor pokoje pro delší pobyt.

Good breakfast. The bathroom wasn´t cleaned from the previous guests, there were hairs in the shower and the toilet wasn´t clean as well. The bed linen also didn't seem to be changed. We stayed in much better accommodations for the same price.

Service war außergewöhnlich gut. Frühstück liebevoll, ausreichend, schönes Ambiente. Die Dame des Hauses ist sehr hifsbereit.
