Ideally situated within Meads village, The Meads is an elegant Edwardian House just 5 minutes walk from the seafront, close to Beachy Head and Helens Gardens. Rooms are comfortably furnished, with en suite facilities and a TV. Guests have the option of an excellent Full English breakfast and free Wi-Fi internet access is available. The Meads also has an attractive garden for guests to enjoy. There is a restaurant and pubs within easy walking distance, or cafes on the seafront. Local theatres are a 5 minute car journey away. We enjoyed having a bed-sitting room with en suite shower and its own separate front door entrance, enabling us to come and go as we pleased without disturbing anyone else. Jackie, the owner, was helpful and informative, as well as providing a cracking breakfast!

We received a warm and friendly welcome and Jacky was very willing to advise. Our room and the bed was very confortable and private.We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and also met Jacky's two sweet little dogs. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

I very much enjoyed the nice breakfast as well as the very quiet location. Very comfortable beds and a state of the art bathroom. Very close to Eastbourne university. A very comfortable stay.

Nice and quiet location. Lovely room, nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was great too. Only downside was the TV.

It was self contained and we were able to come and go as we wished. The room was very comfortable and provided tea, coffee etc. Lovely shower room and large bed. Very nice area . Very good breakfast in a lovely room overlooking garden. Will definitely stay again. There wasn't anything we disliked about The Meads. The room we were in was down a flight of stairs and might not suit someone who found stairs difficult to manage.

The Meads was wonderful. Very comfortable and very very very clean. Jackie the host was very friendly and helpful without being over the top. The breakfast certainly set you up for the day and nothing was to much trouble. The beach was a five min walk away and the local village had good places to eat. Worth every penny would certainly return

The Meads is the best location in Eastbourne. The owner Jacky, she was very friendly & made her job perfectly. Clean & Comforable room, good breakfasts, quiet area, made us felt like at home.

Great location for Eastbourne & The Downs, 5 minutes from the sea front.The Meads is a very comfortable place to stay we stayed in the lower room with its own entrance and this has a great shower. Excellent breakfast menu. We will be going back and will recommend The Meads to family and friends

I loved the fresh clean room. I loved the location and the friendliness of our guest house host. The English breakfast was great and looked out on to a pretty garden. We enjoyed saying good morning to Jackies father each morning he is a charming man. Jackie was friendly but not intrusive and we felt really relaxed there.

We had an unexpected but very warm welcome from Jackie. She is a very friendly and accommodating landlady. I went with my mother who had difficulty walking but the room catered for all her needs. The breakfasts were lovely and set us up for the day. Jackie was informative about where to go out and about. My mum and I enjoyed a lovely peacful few days break. The batteries were definitely rejuvinated at the end of our stay. I would recommend The Meads and would definitely stay there again.

Location was fantastic and the owner makes you feel like an old friend and at the same time she gives you all the privacy you might need. The room was impeccable, very clean and comfortable. It was a real pleasure spending a long weekend there.

Die Gastgeberin pflegt einen sehr persönlichen Umgang mit ihren Gästen. Sie geht auf die Wünsche der Gäste ein, sie ist außerordentlich hilfsbereit und hat darüber hinaus auch wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen und Lokalitäten. Es war sehr angenehm ruhig. The Meads werden wir als "Geheimtipp" nur unseren besten Freunden weiter empfehlen.

Es ist ein schönes und sehr gepflegtes Haus in einer ruhigen Straße, gut zu erreichen, in wenigen Minuten ist man am Strand. Die Besitzerin gab uns hilfreiche Tipps.

Die Herzlichkeit der Eigentümerin (1) Das Haus ist kein "Hotel", sondern eine "Guesthouse" mit wenigen Zimmern => Sehr gepflegtes "Bed and Breakfast" - Haus. (2) Wenig gefallen hat die Lage des Zimmers, weil im Souterrain. Toilette nur über Treppe zu erreichen.

Many thanks Jackie for taking care of us so well ! Sehr schönes B&B, excellente Lage nahe am Strand, grosses Zimmer mit eigenem Eingang und schönem Bad. Bei Jackie fühlten wir uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben. Das Frühstück ist excellent. Parkplätze sind an der Strasse vorhanden. Sehr schönes Pub (The Ship) in der Nähe mit super Essen. Email erhalten nach der Buchung mit handynr. zur Kontaktaufnahme.
