Everything. Staff, food, comfy bed..
Having to leave!
Good location for western lakes without the Lake District premium prices
Room was vwry nice. Staff was great.
The only thing was that reception and restaurant area was in separate building. Not too far though.
breakfast was very good.
car park, not big enough and more exterior lighting required were cars are parked on access road
Bar and restaurant comfortable, food good. Room comfortable and well appointed. Staff friendly and efficient.
Sound insulation in the block I stayed in could be better (as it is in the 'motel style' block where I stayed previously).
Quiet rooms. Clean Value for money
Walking across the car park to get my breakfast
We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and so was the en-suite. The breakfast was good with a good choice.
Couldn't find anything negative about our stay.
Close location to whitehaven and westlakes freindly staff Good quality meals and breakfast
bar area a little dated and needs tv relocating Poor choice of draught beers Menu needs refreshing and specials tend to be same all week
Great nights sleep, friendly, helpful staff.
Oven chips with everything.
Friendly and helpful staff who were a delight to converse with. Meals were of a good standard. Parking was good. A good base from which to explore the Lakes District.
Chair and desk in room not very comfortable, esp if using computer. No extraction system in bathroom and got a bit steamy.
We stayed in melbreak hotel for 2 nights with our little baby and really enjoyed it. Very helpful staff, reasonable prices, good facility in room, nice and tidy, beautiful location and just 10 min drive to sea side. Must have car to go near by city or lakeside. We all had very pleasant stay.
close to whitehaven business areas. early breakfast available from 7.00. decent well lit parking available . Freindly and helpfull if overworked staff.
rooms on the small side especially bathrooms and need updating . menu needs updating especially the specials . noisy if your in roadside rooms. sometimes short staffed in bar and restaurant areas . bar area a little cramped if the hotel is full. Pity only one local beer on draught and bottled beer very expensive .
- Staff was very very friendly and extremely helpful. - Rooms were very clean and nicely done - Good food
-Had to carry the luggae two floors on a narrow stairway.
Very comfortable atmosphere a lovely place to relax away from busy city life.
Good location. Great breakfast. Clean and quiet. Very friendly staff. Good size tv.
OUR WEEKEND AT THE MELBREAK WAS THE BEST WE HAVE HAD FOR QUITE A WHILE. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND THEY COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR US. THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND EXTREAMLY COMFORTABLE. ALL IN ALL I WOULD RECOMEND THE MELBREAK TO ANYONE AND WILL DEFINITLY GO AGAIN. THANKYOU EVERYONE FOR MAKING OUR ANNIVERSARY A VERY HAPPY AFFAIR.
NOTHING AT ALL
The suite was brilliant and the scenery was fabulous. The breakfast was better than the evening meal plus there was loads of choice. Meals are taken in the conservatory which is nice.
The evening meal was poor. I had the morrocan lamb with couscous. the couscous was hard as though it had not been cooked and sauce the lamb came in was a little too thick for my taste but the lamb was tender. My husband had sausage and mash - the mash was the hottest thing on the plate, the sausage was cooked well and was hot, but the mash was hotter????
The food and service was great, felt personal to our hosts that we had a good time.
Our TV did not work properly but they did what they could to fix it and even knocked some money off the bill for the inconvenience, overall happy with our stay.
Just a nice place to stay, throughly enjoy our weekend at this hotel and would stay there again.
All the staff were really friendly. Excellent choice of food at breakfast and the evening meals were superb. Room was clean and tidy and the whole set out of the hotel is ideal. Lovely views from the room as well.
There is nothing to dislike about this hotel
Friendly staff, good location, easy to find, varied menu, hearty breakfast, nice bar area and adjoining restaurant
Room was quite warm as imersion heater located in cupboard in bathroom. Room decor a bit tired could do with a lick of paint
we stayed for two nights (thurs and fri ) in august 2014 and we had a lovely break. the hotel is very clean and well looked after. the decor is plush and modern. the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. our meals were delicious and portion sizes were good.. our room was very comfortable especially the enormous bed, it was fabulous. we would definately stay here again.
there was only one draw back and that was the noise from other rooms. the walls seem a bit thin. we could hear a landline telephone ringing at 6.30am both mornings..a bit too early for me I'm affraid.. we could hear the shower and the toilet actually being used either from next door or the room above.
