Shower very poor - impossible to get consistent temperature - cold or burn For the area - lake district - breakfast starting at 8.00 is too late. Walkers and watersports enthusiasts need to be leaving at this tiem. many other couples also left before breakfast which is included.

.The location was very close to Cockermouth where I spent the day at Woolfest - largest wool festival in the uk. I live in Scotland and am a retired farmer's wife - I am used to good food. The hotel offered a varied menu and the food was very well made - salads very fresh. I ate in the hotel all weekend. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean. The decor in my twin room needs refreshing. I had to leave my car at home and in that part of Cumbria, there is no bus service on a Sunday -very disappointing considering it is the Lake District!

Very convenient for visiting family. It is a tranquil location and just beside the main road to Workington/Whitehaven. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. We have met relatives there for lunch on previous occasions which was one of the reasons for choosing this location.

When we first arrived a painter had just left our room after painting the window sill, so we had to suffer the smell of paint until it had dried some hours later. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant and food was very good and we would certainly book to go there again and recommend it.
