Not value for money for 1 night n no wifi n full of drunks no good for familys boom boom boom all night long with club under us
Great location for us. Right next to the winter gardens. Not far from the tower. Staff were great. We took an 8 yr old and a small cat. They didn't bat an eye at either.
Bit raucous on sat night but that was down to the guests they had in over the weekend. Sun night was absolutely fine.
On arrival the lady on the reception was very welcoming and even got us in our rooms earlier than agreed. We went on a stag do with 16 of us and the cost and the location of the hotel could not be knocked.
TV did not work toilet struggled to flush the bed also felt like I was on a boat! On checking out we found that another lady on reception was rather ignorant and not very helpful at all and did not give us the feeling that we would wish to visit again.
Very helpful staff
No shower in one of our rooms (bath only). Over bath shower in another room not working properly. Leak in ceiling - attended to by the staff though as soon as we mentioned it.
One minute walk to the winter gardens
The hotel was very well situated right aw the town centre and the tower close by for all the night life also all round good location
Staff friendly and helpful, great central location
lift not working on new year's day, had to climb 2 flights (disabled) £100 for twin room a night with no food was enough to pay though
Thanks all very friendly and super helpfull x
Price! Staff! Location! Cleanliness! I booked a single room and was upgraded to a double!!!!!
I couldn't log on to the free wifi.
I didn't like anything really.
Disappointing and rundown hotel which I wouldn't recommend :-(
everything was perfect
Breakfast was good
Staff were great breakfast lovely bed warm what more do you want these people who leave negative feedback should be staying in a £400 a night hotel the things the moan about is ridiculous
No car part at hotel 2 streets away very expensive to park there
Location.. Staff and generally most things.
The shower only was tiny and the doors were a bit rickety. My only problem.
OLD,SMELLY, SMALL PLACE,
Location is excellent very central for everything
Room standards have slipped. Window wouldn't close and the net curtain looked like it hadn't been washed in years. Pubic hair in bottom of shower stray, bed mattress was very lumpy with springs gone in places, I would not book here again if other choices were available even the relatively cheap price wouldn't tempt me
This place is grim!!! Dirty rooms from sticky carpets to stained walks and rude staff who only take cash on arrival (tax scam)
Staff in reception two ladies
Creepy male at night time
The location for Central Blackpool and most of the amenities .
The Melville offers "limited free parking " ..this is NOT THE CASE. There is on-street parking but it is a very busy street. The room and shower room were not clean . There were 3 windows , only 2 had curtains , the other was a net curtain ( over-looked from another hotel ) Over-all a shabby, grubby hotel . I would definitely not recommend The Melville or stay there again.
Entertainment was excellent, staff friendly and helpful
Rooms a little dated
location..ideal for all the theatres excellent karaoke on the saturday night
Rude staff with exception of Tracey, Helen and her husband Cash to be paid up front (no problem to us as we had bought cash) but no debit or credit cards allowed lift far too small and safety hazard bedding clean but grey mattress awful very uncomfortable, also no mattress protector!! carpets badly stained flex on kettle too short..had to put kettle on floor to use plug from tv was in wall at the end of the bed but not secured onto wall.. my friend caught her foot in the wire twice
very good location parking outside
promised entertainment still waiting
