The bed was comfy.
The bathroom was to cold to have a shower.
Good value for money, comfortable, quiet and convenient.
Nothing - all was better than ok
The bar & the function room are excellent. The rooms are a decent size with everything you need for a nights stay.
It needs a complete refurbishment in all rooms and corridors. The carpets need a deep clean.
Function ideal for family party and plenty of parking
Near to motorway, large car park. Friendly staff.Entertainment on site. Recommend.
Location just off motorway was perfect and cost for the room was very good.
Nice Bar area Reception Area Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice. Would stay again if up that way.
The room was basic but found it very cold. Funny smell in corridors. When approaching my first thought was Oh No what have we booked but inside better.
Often I stay in budget chain hotels. This is privately-owned but had everything that a chain could offer. Staff were friendly and more than accommodating; dinner in the hotel's 'Phoenix Nights'-style bar area was cheap and good. There was a delightful view over the moors from my bedroom window and the hotel is well-connected for travelling to other places.
It was a little tired-looking, but, hey - one person's 'tired-looking' is another person's 'homely'!
Freezing water from the shower at 8 in the morning. Freezing room with one radiator out of three working Noisy people in other rooms will make you not sleep ( super wafer thin walls) Hygiene and cleanliness of the room leave a lot to be desired...
The staff are extremely nice Good atmosphere in the bar. Food in the bar was good Wifi was excellent Excellent Value
The place looks terrible from the outside. Rooms are fairly dated
Staff were very friendly and allowed me to check in early.
Could hear people talking outside till the early hours. Could also hear the man next door snoring! Whole place needs a refurb and extra care when cleaning maybe.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant
Very poor decorative order and cleanliness poor
Easy bus to bolton. Country setting. Good Spar and garage. Entertainment every night. Such very friendly staff and thet could not have helped me more in my desperate need for support
Poor quality, worn out furniture. Strange odour in room; thought it might be the drains, but bathroom OK: did not dare to investigate further!!
Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Bathroom door wouldn't close. No lock. No heating in bathroom. No bedside light. No extra blanket.
Room was clean, breakfast excellent. We were greeted pleasantly and invited to watch the live act later. In the end we didn't go but it was good to know it was happening. Surprisingly quiet given the proximity of the A6, but that also made it very easy to find.
This was a no-frills motel when built, so not an architectural gem, and the décor is a little tired, though functional. We asked about the Wi-Fi and were told no password was required, but if we couldn't get on they'd reset it. By the time we tried it we were in bed, it didn't work, but we didn't want to get up to ask for a reset. So a bit disappointing. Woke with aches but we're used to a sponge bed topper! OK for one night though.
Great value, brilliant breakfast, far superior to some 4 and 5 star hotels we have stayed at. All staff very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful, Great entertainment 5 night a week. Will I stay again YES!
Rooms need updating, Bathrooms very tired but these are being decorated as we speak.
very friendly and helpful staff clean comfortable rooms.
the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great !
the décor could do with updating as could the furnishings etc. building is looking and feels run down.it could have better curb appeal as the service is good inside
Only live down the road, but we were needing to move out for a few days while our house, which is being renovated, was re-wired. I liked that the motel was clean and the bed comfortable. Also loved the view of Winter Hill. There is a bar and social club attached, and, if I'd had some energy, it would have been good to go along for the quiz night. As it was, stayed in bed and watched TV. Bliss after living among brick dust for a week! Also liked location close to junction with M61.
Looks a bit tatty in places. 80s furnishings etc. The smokers' shelter is right outside the front door and my partner wasn't best pleased to be subject to beery banter from lads on a night out when he was arriving later in the evening.
Nice room, good pub atmosphere, excellent home-cooked food.
Nice lad on reception. Very helpful. Even gave me a game of pool.
No hot girls in the Zumba class :(
The staff and the breakfast
No evening food at weekends. Wedding disco which was loud in my room 50 yards away.
Comfortable, plenty of parking
A little dated
Proximity to the station. Very quite in the night. Good friendly staff.
Didn't appear like it was refurbished in the last 40 years.
