The rustic non commercialised aspect of merry harriers is refreshing. Locals and staff friendly and helpful. Accommodation good quality and comfortable.
Nothing but had run out of sauvignon blanc, packed carol service the night before LOL
Staff very friendly and welcoming Bed extremely comfortable Room very clean and cosy Breakfast excellent Lovely views and a real surprise to see the llamas in the field outside our room
no toilet door just a curtain to pull over
The location is lovely, quiet, idyllic. The pub that's on the same property is wonderful, owners are incredibly welcoming and the real ales on tap are worth the stay!
The wifi was down.... But I'll definitely stay here again!
Llama's and friendly ambiance
The location was very quiet, accommodation comfortable, food good, the staff friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.
No wifi in the room & no mobile signal anywhere makes it difficult to keep in touch with the outside world, however some might like that.
At the bar/restaurant we were greeted by witches and ghouls, led out the side door and down a dark path to the rooms out back. It would have been alarming, except it was Halloween! Great fun, and the rooms out back were clean, comfortable, and as nice as any hotel. By morning light everyone was back to normal (well, there were 6 Llama looking at us over the fence). Memorable!
Place staff particularly the Hungarian lady who looked after us well
Room was nice but quite small
The pub serves real ale and good pub food. Friendly staff. Rooms small but compact and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed with good quality linen. The Hungarian lady was a perfect host. Exelent breakfast.
Nothing to dislike.
Thought it was a bit expensive
Very quiet location, rooms are in a building at the end of the garden so well away from the pub and any noise. Clean, comfortable room, a bit on the small side with no wardrobe just hooks on the wall, copuld be a bit inconvenient for a longer stay but ok for a short break.
Food and drink was good quality but a bit expensive - no wi fi in the room.
Small room and bathroom late breakfast 8am and shower leaking
Good food and a good range of Beers.
Great Quite location, fantastic food, clean and comfy bed
Needs a power shower just my preference
Staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Food in the pub was excellent. Rooms were very nice. They were clean and well maintained.
Quiet, peaceful, comfortable self-contained ensuite bedrooms in the converted barn, our friends camped in the field for a reasonable rate, nice cooked breakfast, rooms very clean, LOVELY shower and bathroom in the room, would happily go back
In the middle of nowhere - this isn't a fault with the hotel itself of course but just be aware. If you don't have your own car be prepared to shell out for taxis!
Very comfy bed , great quirky Accomodation with excellent food and friendly staff. Would recommend.
No wifi in the rooms and phone signal was poor in general for its location, however you can get wifi in the pub and was able to work from there with a drink.
Colin the owner was helpful. Location was lovely.
Friendly staff Peaceful location. Breakfast was nice. Would recommend.
The location is dreamy, the staff attentive, the room cosy, the breakfast delicious and the overall stay fantastic.
The only tiny point of improvement could be replacing the curtain that separates the bedroom from the bathroom with a sliding door of some kind.
The owner was VERY reluctant to serve us our breakfast at 8am, although it clearly stated breakfast is served from 8-10am. She was extremely rude.
Food, hospitality, real ales, friendliness
We had a lovely welcome and the room in a cottage block was very nice just a shame we had bad weather we came for a wedding in Bramley and they booked a taxi for us they couldn't be more accomadating
The friendly service, the location, the rooms, the food, the atmosphere. Everything!
The friendly welcome and excellent food. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom
Small room lack of space for clothes storage. No comfortable seating in bar area
The owners have a warmth and a relaxed way about them, they make you feel as if you have known them as friends for a long time and that is a rare gift. The bar staff were great my stay was short but the Merry Harriers will be added to my list of must call again when in the area.
