Staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Food in the pub was excellent. Rooms were very nice. They were clean and well maintained.
Quiet, peaceful, comfortable self-contained ensuite bedrooms in the converted barn, our friends camped in the field for a reasonable rate, nice cooked breakfast, rooms very clean, LOVELY shower and bathroom in the room, would happily go back
In the middle of nowhere - this isn't a fault with the hotel itself of course but just be aware. If you don't have your own car be prepared to shell out for taxis!
Very comfy bed , great quirky Accomodation with excellent food and friendly staff. Would recommend.
No wifi in the rooms and phone signal was poor in general for its location, however you can get wifi in the pub and was able to work from there with a drink.
Colin the owner was helpful. Location was lovely.
Friendly staff Peaceful location. Breakfast was nice. Would recommend.
The location is dreamy, the staff attentive, the room cosy, the breakfast delicious and the overall stay fantastic.
The only tiny point of improvement could be replacing the curtain that separates the bedroom from the bathroom with a sliding door of some kind.
Food, hospitality, real ales, friendliness
We had a lovely welcome and the room in a cottage block was very nice just a shame we had bad weather we came for a wedding in Bramley and they booked a taxi for us they couldn't be more accomadating
The friendly service, the location, the rooms, the food, the atmosphere. Everything!
The friendly welcome and excellent food. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom
Small room lack of space for clothes storage. No comfortable seating in bar area
The owners have a warmth and a relaxed way about them, they make you feel as if you have known them as friends for a long time and that is a rare gift. The bar staff were great my stay was short but the Merry Harriers will be added to my list of must call again when in the area.
Staff went out of their way to help when I arrived very late at night.
A good welcome and good hospitality from the landlord and landlady. Staff very helpful. Food just right a great breakfast after a wonderful nights sleep in a comfy bed!
This part of the UK is always so expensive!
A great experience from start to finish. The finish even included a lift from the owner to pick up our car from the place we'd been the night before and left the car. Extra service. Highly recommended.

Modern clean room,
verry nice rooms great location
Lovely room. Setting beautiful. Lovely gardens, tables with umbrellas outside, play area for children. Food very good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Very peaceful.
A little bit far from Guildford for me, but got used to driving there through leafy lanes. A wee bit on the dear side for a single person.
Immaculate room with lovely comfy bed. Crisp clean linen. Great shower and bathroom. Lovely location.
Car park full with non resident guests making it a struggle with luggage from the overfill car park. Breakfast served for 8am but a nice packed breakfast offered. No wifi in the guest accommodation could be rectified with some network home plugs.
Lovely old fashioned English pub with comfortable accommodation. Very friendly and hospitable, good breakfast, would like to have stayed longer. Beautiful garden and surroundings too.
Room was a little stuffy as it was est facing, a warm night and the only window you could leave open was small. Otherwise all good.
The location, pub, owners, locals and choice of beers are all excellent, as was our breakfast. Other than breakfast, we didn't eat there but the locals to whom we spoke were unanimous in their praise for it.
Our room, in a wooden outbuilding, was small by any standard, with no wardrobe and so little floor space that a protective mat was provided for opening luggage on the bed. For this reason I have only rated it 'fair' for value.
environment, quality of food, cleanliness
room a bit small
Quiet location. Friendly staff. Sausages & Mash dinner (yummy). Comfortable bed, tho' some might find it soft. Umbrella provided - thoughtful as it was raining on way to dinner.
Small room. Tiny En Suite with curtain, no door therefore little privacy. No fridge - milk for hot drinks given in flask; a fridge would enable the milk to be kept colder o/nite! Would prefer soap bars provided - not everyone likes liquid cleansers. We're "nitpicking" really as we would stay again knowing the above but would be prepared!
Excellent food, thoughtful accommodation, helpful and friendly staff.
If like me, you stay away on business and like to stay in places that feel like home! Somewhere you can relax, have home cooked food, a great pint and still have the ability to work. We'll look no further. The Harriers is the place. Great welcome, comfort and a fantastic location.
