The Midland Hotel is a busy pub serving food in the evening - also adjoining coffee shop which was popular in the mornings. Big comfy bed, good separate shower room, tv, tea & coffee making facilities & hairdryer. Reasonably priced, clean and nicely decorated, parking on site and very friendly staff - wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely go back.
Friendly pub atmosphere with good food
Limited breakfast choices and decorating in progress
Stopped over for 2 nights while settling my daughter at Leeds Uni. and had a very comfortable stay, friendly staff in a quiet location with useful supermarkets nearby. Dog friendly and easily accessible. Would recommend.
Staff very efficient and welcoming. Although the bar is being redecorated, they worked very well around it. The room was well equipped and clean with adequate toiletries, tea/coffee, small fridge, hairdryer and t.v. bed was comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked and a good selection of cereals etc. available. The on-site coffee bar is also very good.
The room (Room 4) could do with an extra chair (Only one available). Otherwise no issues
Everything. A great place. Staff so helpful and friendly. Clean and comfortable rooms. Food was great we will definitely be going again.
Noisy road next to the room entrance which leads straight to on-suite room. Smell was terrible as room look as flooded regularly from outside.
Staff were brilliant. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and we slept very well over both nights in a lovely bed!
Pub was under renovation but wasn't a problem for us.
The room was well furnished and comfortable. The en suite had plenty of towels and was spacious. Although on a busy road the room was quiet. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to get what you wanted off the menu for breakfast. The bar is undergoing a facelift and update and we will look forward to seeing what has been done on a future visit.
The room was a little chilly with only a plug in radiator although there was central heating in the bathroom.
Third time we have stayed at the Midland. Staff are always friendly and can't do enough for you. They even offered to get us plates and cutlery for a takeaway we had bought back to our room.I would recommend this place.
Really nice tastefully done stables conversion. Small but very well-appointed room. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Great place to stay if you want to visit Leeds but don't fancy the city centre.
The only minor problem was that we weren't able to get wi-fi in our room but the pub itself has a free wi-fi service.
staff, location, feel
could be cleaner all over, glasses, bathrooms etc
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst visiting my son who lives in Leeds and my mum who lives in York. The room I stayed in was reasonably clean & tidy and the bed was quite comfy. It says there is free wifi in the rooms but my phone or laptop wouldn't connect to the hotels wifi. The room is quite close to the pub & road so you get a bit of noise, but that is to be expected due to the pub & location of the pub. I feel the windows & door to the room could be a lot more secure as security & peace of mind is paramount. The staff in the morning when I went for breakfast were superlative and they were all very friendly & helpful. If you want a no nonsense no frills hotel and somewhere as a base to lay your head then this will sort just fine.
Door & window security Noise No wifi as my iPad & iPhone wouldn't connect.
Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Room ok for a one night stay.
We didn't arrive until late afternoon/evening. Was looking forward to a meal in the pub but they finished serving at 8pm would have been nice if we were told this when we booked in. Breakfast not the best. But have tasted worse.
had a great time . staff were brillant and very friendly.room was lovely food was great .would definately go back .
cobwebs in room and bathroom.
excellent clean room ideal for short stay good breakfast nice attached coffee shop helpful staff
unfortunately when we fancied a steak in the evening ,there was only the most expensive fillet available (on the steak night ) this took 1 1/4 hours to arrive and although the steak was excellent the chips were rubbish .
Next to the restaurant so no travelling for dinner is required
Tiny room but comfortable
The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. They were charming and affable and couldn't do enough for us. This included moving tables outside so we could have breakfast (which was included) outside and buying smoked salmon for a guest when it had been asked for the day before.
One of the rooms had an unpleasant smell. However, this was immediately seen to by the hotel staff who were very helpful
Stayed with my son for the tour de france and we were treated like family. My 9 yr old son was so delighted with the accommodation. Chef rustled up gluten free meal with no notice. Great staff. Little packet of sweets for my son for journey home...these little touches mean so much. Will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff.
the midland hotel was just what i look for a clean room good food and staff that made you fill very welcome. iv stayed in a couple of bnbs this is one of the best keep up the good work .
Everything staff very friendly accomodatin of our son and our dog, beautiful area 2 sit and have a drink .
Set in a quiet village just 5 minutes from Leeds, it was a quiet retreat with a friendly family type atmosphere.
There was nothing I didn'y like about it.
We picked this hotel as it was advertised as pet friendly. The layout of the rooms, opening into courtyard was excellent for our dog. Also there was a park close by for walking the diog. The room was small but this was not an issue. Tea and coffee in room was a bonus and appreciated the free wi fi. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.
Slightly stale smell in room which diasppeared after windows opened.
Would recommend The Midland Hotel, great room, great breakfast. Also nice and quiet but close enough to the city centre (about five-ten minuted by car)
Friendly helpful staff, good food and atmosphere and a clean and comfortable room, well worth the money and wd recommend to anyone wanting a trip to Leeds as the train is only a 7 min journey.
