Location is great with lovely canal walks if you get the weather. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized, clean, modern rooms but still with some of the old Mills character. Wonderful, locally sourced food. I make a point of staying here when I'm in the area on business and would thoroughly recommend it; for business, pleasure, leasure or even a dirty weekend away It is a 'little' off the beaten track, but only a little and this adds to the charm for me.
Had to duck under a beam in the shower, however this is part of the quirky charm of the place. "Clutching at staws here."
Unable to access the hotel because of high tide and had to wait for the tide to go out !! While I appreciate this may only happen occasionally it did hinder my visit. Some staff members were unwelcoming. No curtains on the window, only a blind which meant the room was very bright.
Very well presented restaurant and hotel, the room was stunning and spotlessly clean, staff were attentive, food was really nice, wide variety on the menu, comfortable and relaxed dining area, quiet location next to the canal
Couldn't amend the heating which came on in the middle of the night and was unbelievably hot in the room
Lovely food. Helpful staff. Very clean
Fact that decent hotel takes dogs Food
Large comfortable room with all facilities provided . Easy access to all rooms and wheel chair access. Breakfast and choice very good.
Wind noise in attic rooms quite loud.
Excellent location Trumps Premier Inn for the same price
Please sort the kitchen extractor. It's not as bad as some make out, but I had my bedroom window open to enjoy the peaceful countryside and the sounds from the canal at nighttime, but at 0640 the tranquility was smashed!
We stayed here on our way back from Scotland to London. A great mid-way stop that offered more than just your basic pet-friendly accommodation. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made a real fuss of our little dog. The place was clean and tidy and I'm not sure you'd even notice that it had doggie guests if you didn't already know. Some places, it's quite obvious with hair and odours left behind. We ate here too and the food was really very good indeed.
The smell of manure from the farm was pretty strong when we arrived, so must be considerably stronger in the summer. However, it's in the country, so what else should we really expect? Not sure that it's a fair negative.
Hepfull staff, lovely location, comfy clean room ,goodvalue for money
Sat -nav did not find the hotel, but staff gave directions over the phone.
Friendly and helpful staff Plenty of parking Peaceful location Warm and cosy hotel
Everything was fantastic, couldn't recommend highly enough.
Excellent situation away from the hustle and bustle.
Could not find any fault.
Location, restaurant inc food, & courteous/helpful staff.
For an old mill, the lack of period style within the dormitory part of the building and the room. No sence of the buildings history preservation. I felt the room was too clinical.
Everything. Very friendly staff
The location is superb and of special note was the breakfast, truly, for this type of establishment, of the highest standard.
The whole place was friendly and welcoming. We arrived in time for dinner with our dog, and had a nice table in a quiet corner of the restaurant where our dog could lie under the table. The food was wonderful, followed by just as good a breakfast the next morning. Our room on the top floor (served by a lift) was quiet and nice, with a nice countryside view. The friendly staff pointed us in the right direction for a good walk with our dog in the morning. We will definitely be back and will recommend the hotel to our friends.
The bed was possibly a bit hard as it was very new. But this was a very minor drawback.
beds a bit too soft - all four of us thought so, but everything else so good, it would not put us off returning
Room would have been cosier if carpeted.
Lovely location. Comfortable clean rooms and excellent dinner and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Nothing. Liked it all.
Comfortable room and good food
Rooms were of decent size and very clean. Wonderful meal in restaurant.
Shower could have been hotter

Avoid room four!! Extraction fan went in at 6.30am and woke us up. Very loud!! Didn't stop until late at night.
