Attitude of staff was very helpful
Food Location Room Ambience
Noise from upstairs and next door room as the floors are wood
The friendliness of the staff and the relaxed and comfortable bar area.
Beer good. Food in restaurant was excellent in a really cosy room with a lovely ambience
No issues at all other than high tide in proximity to hotel.when we couldn't make it back on side road for an hour on saturday.
Nice surroundings, location
Not the room I booked, but didnt bother making a fuss as adequate, over charged on the final bill, which took a bit of sorting out, dinner ok but missing items at both breakfast and dinner, steak not cooked to my order but soon rectified.
No negatives for this hotel. Very relaxing, staff were fantastic as was the food. Definitely coming back again.
Fantastic little inn. Beautiful food. Excellent beer. Lovely staff. Tranquil atmosphere. Views were inspiring, as was our room.
Very welcoming friendly staff
I had to pay for it
perfect for a peaceful break - great value - great breakfast
A surprise Birthday treat. The deluxe room had a great view, the staff friendly and welcoming and the dinner and breakfast delicious. A great stay
Nothing to dislike
Good warm friendly welcome. Dinner excellent and really good value. breajfast despite being busy still made to feel special. Hearty breakfast keot us going until eve meal.
Obscured view from room due to fsulty double glazing window being misted up with condensation.
Location is great with lovely canal walks if you get the weather. Friendly, helpful staff. Good sized, clean, modern rooms but still with some of the old Mills character. Wonderful, locally sourced food. I make a point of staying here when I'm in the area on business and would thoroughly recommend it; for business, pleasure, leasure or even a dirty weekend away It is a 'little' off the beaten track, but only a little and this adds to the charm for me.
Had to duck under a beam in the shower, however this is part of the quirky charm of the place. "Clutching at staws here."
Unable to access the hotel because of high tide and had to wait for the tide to go out !! While I appreciate this may only happen occasionally it did hinder my visit. Some staff members were unwelcoming. No curtains on the window, only a blind which meant the room was very bright.
Very well presented restaurant and hotel, the room was stunning and spotlessly clean, staff were attentive, food was really nice, wide variety on the menu, comfortable and relaxed dining area, quiet location next to the canal
Couldn't amend the heating which came on in the middle of the night and was unbelievably hot in the room
Lovely food. Helpful staff. Very clean
Fact that decent hotel takes dogs Food
Large comfortable room with all facilities provided . Easy access to all rooms and wheel chair access. Breakfast and choice very good.
Wind noise in attic rooms quite loud.
Excellent location Trumps Premier Inn for the same price
Please sort the kitchen extractor. It's not as bad as some make out, but I had my bedroom window open to enjoy the peaceful countryside and the sounds from the canal at nighttime, but at 0640 the tranquility was smashed!
We stayed here on our way back from Scotland to London. A great mid-way stop that offered more than just your basic pet-friendly accommodation. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made a real fuss of our little dog. The place was clean and tidy and I'm not sure you'd even notice that it had doggie guests if you didn't already know. Some places, it's quite obvious with hair and odours left behind. We ate here too and the food was really very good indeed.
The smell of manure from the farm was pretty strong when we arrived, so must be considerably stronger in the summer. However, it's in the country, so what else should we really expect? Not sure that it's a fair negative.
Hepfull staff, lovely location, comfy clean room ,goodvalue for money
Sat -nav did not find the hotel, but staff gave directions over the phone.
