The food was incredible, surroundings were lovely, local shop and pub easy to get to, little park close by, friendly staff, nice comfy room, excellent wedding service provided, overall a lovely weekend Cocktail bar that doesn't really know how to make cocktails!!! Room wasn't cleaned as quickly as I expected not a great deal to do if you don't have a car and are hanging around the hotel, breakfast finished a bit to early, sink was slightly dirty when we first arrived not enough to complain about though

Lovely place for a wedding reception. Poor breakfast. I think for the price an English breakfast should be included

Location and fact that it was set away from the road in pretty grounds Rooms tired and outdated with pink chintz walls and fabrics . Only had one towel in a double deluxe suite with no toiletries . Foul drain smell when using the shower

Tranquility, comfort and general atmosphere. Good food, excellent service and friendly staff. Nothing to dislike except perhaps the bar lounge which would benefit from some light background music and a few changes in the decor/furnishings to improve the atmosphere....

Friendly, helpful staff staff. Clean and comfortable room apart from bathroom. Our room was described as Executive but the floorcovering in the bathroom was torn and ill fitting. I would say it was a health and safety hazard.

The comfortable surroundings and lovely gardens. The hotel was very well furnished. The staff were very helpful. The fact that a cooked breakfast was charged extra. This was not made clear on the booking form printed from yourselves. Also we were only offered a Table de Hote menu and had to ask on the 2nd night for the a la Carte menu..We had no complaints re the food.

Warm, friendly staff, good food in the restaurant, good sized comfortable rooms set in the heart of the West Country off the beaten track. Could do with a little TLC, whole place feels in need of bringing up to date.

The room was light and comfortable and very clean, bathroom lovely and warm.Restaurant is beautifully furnished and comfortable. The room was quiet, but it was mid week, would be noiser at weekends as weddings etc.- one reason why we try to avoid weekends at any hotel. The breakfast was not so special and generous compared to other hotels, but the staff were very helpful to accommodate our dietary needs.

It's location was perfect for where I was meeting familhy but was also picturesque and rural. The hotel is a converted water mill with a small waterfall in the garden. The A La Carte menu food was not up to standard. Wonderful wild mushrooms were spoiled by being too oily and the half duck had been seriously overcooked.
