Beautiful setting, friendly staff, good food, great value, huge, clean and modern room, what's not to like!
The desk's veneer had fallen off and was just stuffed down behind the desk
Excellent stay. Lovely room with views. Food very good. Would love to go back.
Parking, lots of spaces and close by.
Room was very dark even with the spotlights on. Table in room was broken and needed replacing. Radiator in bathroom leaked causing a large puddle on the floor and our clothes got wet. Was told by reception we would receive a call from management but have heard nothing as of yet.
Very helpful and accommodating staff who switched us to a room with a bath so we could bath our 3 month old. Lovely rooms and restaurant/bar.
Good location, quiet room with lovely view, friendly but efficient staff, good food. As a solo female I was made to feel welcome. Also glad to find a hotel that welcomes dogs - I'll think about bringing mine if I can come again.
Could have been a hook on back of bathroom door. Can't think of anything else.
Beautifully prepared room, exceptionally clean well appointed.
Although there is free wifi not very useful when you can't connect to the Internet. Neither my iPad nor iPhone would connect, even though I tried various connection options. Didn't seem to be an answer to the issue.
Clean, airy room. Lovely setting with beautiful view from the room. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful.
The meal & service was excellent.
Other guests moving around noisily throughout the night the room doors bang shut.
Really liked the surrounding area for long walks and where the hotel is located is perfect!
The facilities are minimalist but ok if you are not looking to spend much time in the hotel itself.
Lounge bar cold, draughty
Very friendly staff, from checking in to leaving. I will be back in the future
I booked as my friend was getting married location was beautiful and wedding was planned without a hitch and the staff attending wedding were lovely as was Josh who was working in the bar
unhelpful reception staff on arrival wifi did not work ,the worst thing was dogs laying on the sofas in the bar I was locked out of room 3 times due to key cards needing to be reset as for the room itself pillows were awful also stains on ceiling and walls not what you expect when you pay £98 per night would not recommend
All the staff were very helpful and made my Stay very enjoyable.
View from the top superior room was excellent looking out over the meadows. Furnishings and fittings were of a high quality and well maintained. The hotel was fairly quiet. Food was really good and the bar was cosy with a nice ambiance.
Just a good hotel, good breakfast and service
All of the staff with the exception of one we're very helpful and friendly. Will return.
Information in the room stated that breakfast was served until 10:30 we arrived at 10 to be told by a very unpleasant member of staff that breakfast service had finished and we were to late. Another membef of staff overheard our conversation and showed us to a table and was very helpful and friendly.
Lovely modern hotel, clean, polite staff and good food.
Good location Good quiet room with comfortable bed & pleasant view
There was a long black hair on one pillow & on the other bed a plastic tag on the pillow The bathroom had brown stains under the toilet seat & some decoration needed repairing
Location was good as was the price . Good breakfasts . Helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Views of the river and scenery are lovely. Very comfortable and clean. Did not eat there this time but previously have done and very good quality and value for money.
Wi fi in rooms not strong
As ever the location - we really enjoyed walks across the water meadows. We had a lovely room with great views along the mill stream.
The food wasn't as good generally as when we stayed in the summer (when we had seen a definite improvement) although for the most part was perfectly acceptable. We were disappointed that the breakfast sausages were poor in comparison to the sausages served in the bar which were excellent. Excellent customer service in the bar and restaurant which was not matched by one receptionist who seemed under-trained.
Excellent choice of breakfast
Couldn't find a hairdryer which we were told was in a BAG IN THE WARDROBE who would think to look there. Car park poorly signed missed it and parked on the road.
The Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the food was very good and open fire a delight.
noise from next room, the wall between our room 21 and room 22 not sound proof at all
Lack of bedroom space and no chair!
Nice location next to the river, even saw a kingfisher from our room window. Large room (superior) but no bath. We ate in the restaurant and were perplexed by the varied quality of the dishes and the fairly useless female staff member who seemed to be in charge.
