Accommodation away from the main Inn so quiet. Very good value for money, rooms a good size and bed very comfortable.Food excellent and good choice for evening meal and/or lunch. A very good cooked breakfast plus cereal etc.
Food and restaurant service were good, worth staying just for the food.
Room was a bit small and outdated
Everything was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the food in the restuarant was really lovely. we would certainly stay again if we were in that area.
There was nothing to dislike
Quiet during the week, good food.
Room to small to have an armchair.
Restaurant food Size of room Comfortable bed Clean
Carpets stains Old TV Bathroom floor need retiling If the rooms were refurbished I would gladly pay £20-£30 more a night
Nice homely feel to it. Good food and nice ale selection
Room was a little small but for one night it was adequate
Requested a twin room as travelling with my son. Confirmed as having a twin room. Arrived to find we had been allocated a double and no twin rooms were available. Staff were incredibly unhelpful and didn't care. In the end we walked out and found somewhere else (far better I have to say). Definitely won't be staying there again.
Bar area Bathroom
Size of bedroom TV did not work Lamp bulb missing 1/2 menu not available Food very poor 1/2 hour wait for someone to arrive to see if we would like to order breakfast, then further 1/2 hour wait for it to arrive. Only 2 other people staying in hotel
I would recommend the pub and restaurant which were very nice, good food and the breakfast was very good too.
The room was very small, looked a bit like it was in the middle of being decorated (random streaks of paint on the wall) and didn't feel worth £50 for the night. Would go to the pub if I was in the area but not stay there over night again.
Good friendly staff and a good relaxed atmosphere
Breakfast started at 0730 this was too late for me as I started work at 0800 Specials menu is repetitive if you stay more than 2 days.
building ; atmosphere , good food - burgers need a size waring ,easy parking , quick check-in , good beer ; great bed , good bathroom
for a 6' 2" big lad the room was a wee bitty neat
Like the informal but friendly service. Like the location as it is close to my office.
Slow breakfast service.
The shower was excellent staff friendly food very good and well priced excellent breakfast
Room a bit cramped
Good food available at a reasonable price. Helpful staff
V clean room Superb English breakfast
Arrived mid afternoon to find the place locked up and so could not check in! Came back after dinner at 10.15pm looking for a drink but once again the place was locked up! Weird!!
the place was so relaxing and quite, the food was lovely and location was just what we were looking for, we could not of wished for any better for my husband birtday treat.
we both liked ever thing.
Everything was very good location brill
Nothing to dislike every aspect very good
Weather was great, weatherspoons across the road.
Not the freshest or cleanest room I've stayed in, needs a refurb, furniture etc needs TLC. Had to go looking for staff to get a drink before the restaurant opened.
Nice quiet accommodation, ample parking, run by a friendly couple, will be re-booking!
Room was good, parking easy and plentiful. Dinner was excellent. Staff very friendly. Nice pub atmosphere.
We didn't find a notice in the room about the time for breakfast - so more or less missed it. It ends at 9 and apparently he told us that, but there having been no-one there when we arrived we were pretty tired and probably not listening. However, the chap on duty when we came down - about 9.30 had left us some cereal and made us some toast to have with the marmelade & butter on the table. There was coffee available in our room.
It was comfortable, friendly with good food and great location
The quality of the breakfast and dinner, The king sized bed and the access to the carpark.
The ensuit shower left a lot to be desired. A new showerhead might have fixed the problem!
Working Mill Wheel
Twin beds instead of double.
good clean hotel. We did not have a meal there but saw other peoples and looked very nice
a bit out of the way - not near a main town, a car is an esential
Restaurant was excellent. Really enjoyed dinner on the evening of our stay.
Checking out on Sunday morning after breakfast was very lax, no staff available.
