We attended a wedding at Stanley House and booked into this hotel as the location was good. Clean and tidy, the staff are very nice. Food in the restaurant was really good. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. We would visit again and tell our friends about it.
Room was a little on the small side but had everything you needed.
It was rather noisy due to the traffic outside and the location of the room
Food in the restaurant was every good
Temperature of the room, extremely hot
location, Very friendly staff, very comfortable and exceptionally clean
Very nice food & drink Comfortable clean room Location Friendly helpful staff
Minor hiccups with the staff/service & availability of certain items. Some room for improvement
Lovely room. Very quiet and comfortable. Excellent wi-fi. Amazing food in a very cosy restaurant.
Everthing Quite outstanding in every respect
All very good no adverse comments whatsoevere
Excellent location for us as wedding guests at Stanley house.Clean and Cosey with excellent food. Staff very helpfully. Very pleasant stay would recommend and come again.
Nothing to not like about our stay
Very comfortable and welcoming little place! Comfy rooms and polite and friendly staff.
Staff helpful, room very good with good lighting. Food excellent
Parking not always easy
Good parking and friendly staff. Very clean and nicely presented rooms, reception and bar area. Excellent restaurant with lovely food and great service in a relaxed environment. Breakfast (eggs benedict) was top class.
Door handle to room had no clearance to door frame, thus trapping my fingers when closing. No direction for room numbers so initially confusing.
The bed was comfortable and washroom facilites including shower was perfect.. Wi-fi worked well. Staff attentive and most helpful. The fish and chip supper was very tasty and the batter out-standing. The room provisions were of a good standard. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Room above was a bit noisy early in morning, but in older properties one can expect the odd bang and creak. Door handle and lock tricky to work (room 31).
staff friendly and helpful;waitress Lucy excellent
Television not working
Friendly staff and good quality food and comfort.
Nothing to say.
Room was good, twin beds meant for a restful nights sleep, nice and tranquil good ensuite. Dinner was obviously all home cooked food and was excellent
Breakfast was a bit hectic, salty scrambled eggs
Good service, helpful staff. Room would have been very comfortable if the ventilation hand' been a huge issue. Breakfast variable as over done on one morning but there is lots of choice.
Room 41 only has a small window high up on wall which cannot be opened. This makes room very stuffy. The bathroom has a very awkward window which can only be opened if you climb into the bath! Leaving the bathroom door open means you are disturbed by the ventilation fan. Definitely a. Room to avoid at all costs. Cost of this room over priced due to ventilation issue.
the whole experience
Location, breakfast. Home made biscuits, filter coffee in the room.
Pillows too soft, room too hot. Only one robe, no milk, iron sole plate burnt. Faulty fan.
The room was lovely with a comfy bed. The food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant.
Although the breakfast was delicious I wouldn't have paid £15 for it and there could have been more of it, 1 slice of bacon was not enough!
Nice building, location and bar / restaurant
Our room was so small it was not as per the pictures when booking, and was difficult to get ready for our friends wedding. There was more space in the bathroom. Sure not all rooms are this small but be wary when checking in where they put you!
An ideal location for the wedding we went to at Stanley House just down the road. Beautiful pub and hotel situated in a lovely village. Lunch was delicious.
Quite pricey for a nights stay
Very helpful and friendly staff. Good food. Good parking.
Loved the appearance, decor, ambience, food, cask ale, friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. The room was lovely, good ensuite with bath and shower. The location is very good in an attractive village in an area of outstanding beauty with walks and views. Plenty of places to visit by car.
Very Peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff, location.
