Without a doubt the highlight are the staff. They make the place. They could not be more helpful and pleasant. The food is excellent value for money and huge portions.
The ensuite we had could do with a little attention in both decoration and fittings, a towel rail or hook on the door would be beneficial plus the doors in the room don't close properly.
the staff were very friendly .nothing was too much trouble .
Friendly staff and lovely food.
Price was high for the quality - perhaps due to Commonwealth Games at the time Proximity to Glasgow Airport Cleanliness Ease of parking
Food Location was not convenient to other restaurants Movement sensitive lights that would come on when partner got up in the night
Good location, friendly staff and clean rooms
A bit expensive for the facilities provided
Lovely location great For getting to both places. Staff brillant and helpfull breakfast was great
The food and night could be abit better abit like an chain pub menu.
Due to the high prices in Glasgow, stayed at this hotel and found it excellent value. Will probably stay here in future visits to Glasgow
The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Bed in room 10 was really comfy.Breakfast was ok.
The inn was situated on dual carrriageway to/from Glasgow and as we like the window open at night was very noisy from early morning to late evening so had to close window.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room s were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a little limited in choice, but hot food cooked well. Hotel is on a main road, making it easily accessible into Glasgow. Hotel bedroom double glazed, so road traffic noise no problem. Enjoyed our short break at The Milton Inn.
Good Price, Near airport, Karaoke night was fun. Rooms were spacious and provided adequate ammenities.
Beds were worn out.
The staff were very friendly and gave us great information about the Commonwealth Games
Our bed was rather hard
Excellent staff and facilities. Excellent rooms and service. Good food. Friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Nothing much but room was at least clean.
We were visiting Scotland for the games and travelling all over the place at a different hgotel each night. We paid £130 for the room for the night. No breakfast was included, and we felt a price tag of about £50 would have been better. Room right on the road so very loud, had to open windows though as very hot and no air conditioning, which meant very little sleep as the noise of the traffic kept us awake. No net curtains so totally overlooked by the flats next door which were about 30 feet away so had to have the curtains closed all the time.Very expensive for what it is, scruffy and downtrodden, and I would definitely say drive on to the next place. Very very disappointing and felt like we had been ripped off by the owners. Rest of hotels we stayed in were fab and a brilliant holiday- this was by far the low point I am afraid.
Staff attentive, excellent housekeeping.
Close to busy road
Location Next to a pub Good food
The hotel offers good facilities in the rooms we had in the annex. Plenty of off road parking and quite safe. Although it was summer we were able to use the electric heaters in our rooms to dry our biking gear ready for the next day, excellent. Food was good and breakfast was also nice.
Shame the hotel is close to the dual carriagway but we didn't suffer any noise at night.
Easy to find Clean and everything worked Staff seemed helpful and friendly Plenty of car parking
Very expensive for what it was but we put this down to Commonwealth Games being on
Friendly staff, evening meal ok,
No hairdryer, disappointed in rooms compared to website, not a double room, no low fat options for food especially breakfast
The food was excellent and good value. Good size portions. We would say this is the 'best' in the Milton Hotel.
You are offered a 'quiet room' which we asked for. Our room was at the front of the hotel right on the main road and inevitably was extremely noisy all day and night!! There was no phone, iron, hair dryer, or menus in the room! The bath had a chip in it and the sink was badly cracked. The shaver light did not work and the shelf below the mirror was missing. The folding shower screen was not working properly and would not sit on the side of the bath, very dangerous and should have been seen to!!! There was nobody in authority in the building during the night - only guests!! If there was an emergency, no phone, nobody to refer to and above all the fire drill signs on the back of the doors were blank!!!
rooms were clean, comfortable, shower. Nice restaurant and bar area downstairs.
no space for bike storage.
The staff were very attentitive and friendly :-)
Very close to the dual carriageway, noisy early in the morning.
The Farmhouse rooms were smart, comfortable and clean. The bar was a pleasant place to eat. We felt very welcome.
I would prefer to settle my bill at check out. The heating air conditioning controls needed a bit of explanation as my son and daughter in law's room was too warm for them.
the breakfast was very good
the room smelt of smoke, we are both non smokers, i had the window open all night to let air in
Everything, good service, good food/drink.good accommodation ,nice place to stay.travelling from yorkshire to the highlands.
Loved the food it was great so was the entertainment. The rooms were comfy (one of the best beds I've ever slept in) The staff were very warm and friendly and extremely welcoming. We were a group of 6 and we all felt this place was brilliant. Thanx again to the staff. Just wish we had booked the whole weekend instead of just one night.x
Only a small gripe...where was the beer garden? If there was one then we wouldn't have felt the need to go into Balloch...so please try and get a beer garden for our next visit.
