hotel cleanliness, room layont
Its like living in between war zone coz of sound pollution, no double glazing windows and sounds are going to make you mad, if you speak to staf they wont help you and send you big bouncers although ladies very good.
there was so poor internet connection while it was advertised that you have wifi everywhere and the person at the reception didnt want to accept it even when I showed him the booking condition. The TV didnt have remote and again the reception guy after a little effort said I am sorry. no attempt t xhange the room and I know they had empty rooms....
Location is great. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Bit expensive at £98 a night with no breakfast. Shower was a bit temperamental and had to buy a extension leads has only two sockets in the room and no mirror only in the bathroom which isn't very good when it's all girls
location excellent for purpose of our weekend close to men arena and shopping centres.easily reached on foot from piccadilly station.
only issue was cramped facilitys for breakfast as it was in bar area
All of our stay
Excellent location, helpful staff.
Breakfast was poor
the staff at the reception was good help full and kind, but the staff in the bar down stairs was very rude and I thing they don't even know that they are, 2 members of staff at the front door and no one opened the door for me even when I was holding my suit case..... house keeping in the morning was rude and very noise they made so much noise that I chust check out early and did not get the few hours lie in I would of like to of have,, after the church clock and bells kept my up
but the staff in the bar down stairs was very rude and I thing they don't even know that they are, 2 members of staff at the front door and no one opened the door for me even when I was holding my suit case..... house keeping in the morning was rude and very noise they made so much noise that I chust check out early and did not get the few hours lie in I would of like to of have,, after the church clock and bells kept my up the tv had no remote so u have to get out of bed to arrange the volume or god forbid you like to switch from Chanel to Chanel then u have good fun all night
I had to walk up over 3 huge stairs before I could enter my room number 31. If you're not fit ask for a room which is not so hard to reach Breakfast went up with 40% from 4.95 to 7 Pound.
All staff were really kind, Brilliant value for money couldn't really argue, View of the Cathedral from our window was lovely the only downside was the bathroom wasnt a good standard and was a little poorly looked after but what do you expect for a £50 room, Comfiest bed we had ever slept in too! And in the perfect place, Around everything.
The staff were very helpful and friendly The food was good, though for a non-meat eater, the only choice of fish and chips meant I had to have....fish and chips. Maybe a slightly expanded menu?? Our room (No, 1) was large and comfortable and the bathroom while decorated rather oddly, was very roomy. The door to the hotel was 30 yards from the cathedral entrance, which is an excellent position for us, visiting the cathedral.
The closest overnight parking was half a mile walk back in the pouring rain. It is possible to park on the street by the overnight (Total) parking, with the last two hours and the first two hours free, so park at 4 and pick up at 10.
Great value, clean, cozy. Excellent location right next to the major shopping center Arndale. Our room had an amazing view of the cathedral.
Wifi signal was too weak and unusable on the 3rd floor.
Very good value for money. Great location. Staff excellent. Good food.
Location - right next to Manchester Cathedral where we were attending a concert. Helpful and friendly staff.
Once there, it was all good.
It would help, when booked, to have clearer instructions as to where the car parking is. Breakfast is probably the weakest bit. No decaff. tea, no plain yoghurt and being in the bar is not perfect. However, works perfectly well, and definitely not expensive.
Location is amazing! Mitre hotel is in the centre of Manchester, near to all attraction places. Staff is very healpful and polite. If you are tight on money and want to stay in the centre, so Mitre is offering good value for money.
Pictures from internet do not respond reality. Doors are papper thin, big stains on chair, wall papper which is tired, 21 inch tv with remote (which didnt work) and it reqaers effort to see tv when you are laying on bed. Bathroom facilities is also disapointing. Electric shower with poor presure and broken tile. So, if you used to better quality, i would recommend to add decent amount of money and book other place.
Hotel is a little dated but room was clean & comfortable. Staff were friendly & very helpful. Couldn't have asked for more from a budget hotel
Old 'listed' hotel...should have been called a 'listing' hotel...our room was terrible - head of beds lower than foot of bed, stained old carpet, no mirrior in the bathroom - very very basic.
Location, staff friendly and helpful
Room not very big for four people, wifi not available in our room, bed too small and not comfy
Room and bathroom was really nice and modern, situated perfectly for football and nightlife!
Church bells going off at 10 o'clock Sunday morning for an hour.
The location was fantastic, and we booked at last minute but the price was still great for a Saturday night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too. A good budget hotel.
Nothing. It suited us perfectly.
Fantastic location on the doorstep of the Arndale shopping centre and less than 10 mins walk to MEN arena. Comfy beds, very clean linen / towels etc.
family room had two TV's. One had no ariel cable; the other had no picture. Bathroom had no mirror or place to put toiletries
Friendly staff, comfiest bed that I've ever slept in. Very quiet. Clean. Ample tea and coffee supplies. Location excellent
The shower was difficult to get at the right temperature but we notified staff of this so hopefully they will look at it. Everything else was great.
location, luxuries in the room(soaps, coffee machine), some friendly staff from the restaurant to give us a hand
no lift, carrying luggage alone without the help of the staff, expensive, old building
It was clean comfortable and the night staff were very pleasant, liked that you could go outside with no hassle but still remained secure and someone was always available
The day staff wernt quite as available had to go looking for them
