Wonderful,
Score from 45 reviews
“ We were delighted with our stay. The room was beautifully appointed, warm and comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Hosts were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent, generous and with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay at The Moda again and recommend it wholeheartedly. ”

Melville
This charming 350-year-old house was originally Chipping Sodbury’s bank. The historically-listed building is 3 stories high, and offers delicious breakfasts, free parking and free Wi-Fi. Full English breakfast is prepared fresh each morning, made from high-quality local ingredients. Lighter options are available, and The Moda House also serves its own homemade marmalade. Traditionally-furnished with wooden furnishings and a work desk, some of The Moda's rooms also retain original wooden beams. Each room has satellite TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. Chipping Sodbury can be reached in 2 minutes by foot, and has a wide High Street with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has a pretty market square surrounded by period houses, and is a 30-minute drive from Bath. Bed and breakfast: 10 rooms The most recent booking for this hotel was made on May 20 at 17:00 from United Kingdom.

Everything. Delightful house in charming setting. Room and bathroom very comfortable - excellent extra touches (decent coffee and toiletries, + bottled water). Large comfortable bed. Very good breakfast, pleasantly served. Owners friendly and welcoming (would have gladly chatted longer about travel experiences) - very decent value for money. Nothing.

Lovely B n B with friendly staff, beautifully clean, excellent location. Old building and floor so bed slanted to one side and often awoke due to rolling to edge of bed. Some minor leveling of bed legs would help.

Very pleasant, welcoming owners. House with character in the centre of the charming town Chipping Sodbury. Good location in close proximity to pubs and restaurants. Clean, thoughtfully decorated and equipped bedrooms. This is essentially a B&B charging four star hotel prices. This may be fine for travellers on business, but private families might expect to pay less.

1. Town centre location and easy access to motorway. 2. The historic ambiance of the building Traffic noise however expected owing to central location. Off site public car parking thus no security.

This 3 star AA Hotel and serves every star! The welcome we had to this gracious 400 year old high ceilinged building was excellent. The rooms were spotless and newly refurbished. We stayed in Room 8 in the loft which was vast and had a super king bed. The proprietor and his wife were very helpful and could not do enough for us. There were several restaurants nearby in High Street for dinner, I'd go back there again anytime.

Extremely comfortable hotel in a great location only a few miles from the m4 but with a feeling of being in small village in the countryside. Very warm and friendly atmosphere, home from home feel. Very clean rooms in excellent decorative order. Interesting books and items from the owners travels around the Hotel too, including a fascinating door in the dining room. Excellent breakfast. Good pubs and restaurants in the village in easy walking distance - free parking outside the hotel too.

The owners are very welcoming and friendly. They were helpful with suggestions of where to eat in the evenings and directions to find our way around. We had a lovely room at the top of the house with a view down the highstreet and to the hills beyond. It was beautifully clean, with a power shower in the bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious with a huge range on offer. Very comfortable indeed. We would very happily stay there again

Huge room, very comfortable, nicely decorated. Well placed in the centre of town. The breakfast wasn't brilliant; packet bread as the toast, and the cooked food came quick without a nice bronzing. Cereals were in packets, and fruit was limited to apples. A bit more creativity in the breakfasts (to match the decor!) would make a big difference.

Lovely furnishings in the bedroom. Friendly staff on reception and in the morning. We could hear the road outside and people coming back from the pub which was annoying as we wanted a relaxing stay. The bathroom could be a bit more modern and could provide shampoo and we were also called to leave the room when we were just coming down which is a bit rude.
