Arbor Hyde Park is a beautifully restored 19th-century townhouse overlooking Hyde Park. It is a 5-minute walk from Lancaster Gate Tube Station and just 2 Tube (subway) stops from Oxford Circus' shops....
Score from 106 reviews Wonderful
Food choice and quality poor for a hotel of its quality. Residents lounge a joke, residents have got to through it to access their bedrooms.
Staff, kind, friendly and helpful.
The staff could not do enough for us. They were attentive and informative. I have had good service before but this was the best I have ever enjoyed. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed and the gastro pub attached was fantastic.
Excellent location for going to Barbican and proximity to underground. Room very good.
A bit pricey. Asked to book table in attached bar, receptionist said she would check but never got back to us.
The rooms are well appointed and provide the right environment for a very comfortable stay. The Jugged Hare is a brilliant restaurant - top class food and surroundings.
From arrival the staff disappointed me with indifference or (in some cases) a poor attitude. The concierge spoke rudely to the driver to stop on the road, rather than asking politely. Help with baggage an afterthought. From that moment the staff disappointed except for one good concierge who helped change my mothers room which appeared to be above a generator.
Friendly staff Free wifi Comments taken on board and hopefully will improve other visitors experience
Smell of smoke throughout the night Noisy ducting next to the room Poor attention to detail eg. Dusty surfaces Price
Too much noise early in the morning 5am

Price of breakfast... £30 for full English???
We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday and they kindly upgraded our room and sent us a complementary bottle of wine.
There was a function taking place and unfortunately we could hear the loud music below our room. However the duty manager and staff dealt with our complaint in a very professional and caring way., and adjusted our bill accordingly.
Incredible customer service. We were upgraded for free and treated like royalty! Rooms were beautiful and not at all noisy
Slightly chaotic and short staffed for breakfast in the pub joined to the hotel- go early
rooms reception staff
Montcalm Hotel is the same Building/ROOM/Service as the so called "london city suites": the only difference is that you pay 40 % more at the Montcalm. I asked the staff the reason for that and each person gave me a different reason....then i Ask the manager ALINA and she invented a new story One can build a nice hotel like mont calm but I really do not understand why they always ASSUME that people are DUMM and they are smarter..
The Jugged Hair was an excellent on site bistro style bar restaurant Food was high quality and the drink options and atmosphere superb
Noise from room above was a little too much, especially in the afternoon, ceiling just seemed abit thin but it wasn't enough to spoil the stay, for an overnight hotel with bar and restaurant it was our best stay yet - though for a 5 star hotel in London the car shut abit early at 12am
Pretty much everything.
Just wished I could have turned off the light over the coffee / tea station.
Proximity to Barbican venue. Polite staff.
Room grubby. Bathroom tatty. No on site facilities these are provided by its nearby off site facility The Jugged Hare which is busy, noisy and pricey....
We were attending a concert in the Barbican and this hotel is literally next door. Facilities are of a very high standard, along with customer service. Effectively you get what you pay for.
The stay was a treat, so we knew it was going to be expensive, but the charges for in hotel food like breakfast were really ridiculously expensive. We simply popped round the corner to a cafe and had the same menu for a quarter of the price.
Food quality of room service
The room was very stylish and very clean. The location was great, 5 min walk to the Underground but also close to walk to other locations. Water kettle included in the room so it was nice to make tea or coffee in the morning.
The staff was very stuffy and formal. At first they were sure that we were in the wrong hotel (we didn't look the part?). Nothing is included in the price so we went somewhere else for breakfast and the pub connected is extremely expensive. The bed was a double size. It was comfortable but so small that either one of us almost would fall off with the wrong move.
Great welcome, free upgrade (probably because it was the weekend) lovely room, comfy big bed, staff can't do enough to make your stay as nice as possible. Will definitely be retuning.
Staff courteous if too many of them!
1. On check in, the lady at reception was very slow in the registration process and could not find my name. (Her English was poor) 2. Despite asking for a quiet room on my online booking form , the lady had to re-book me in such a room as this had not been done. (the eventual room was actually quite noisy with a rubbish collection at 5.00am) 3. After dinner my partner and I asked for a nighcap. We were told this would take a long time as "room service was very busy". Once the drinks arrived we were informed that we could not take them in the front reception only the rear room. No reson was given. 4. In this room were several tables with unwashed plates and crockery. In the same room a door into an office was jammed open with a bucket. 5. In room 224, the basin was installed at a hight of about 4 foot, and the shaving mirror was similarly odd.
Comfortable, friendly and with some style.
No parking is a definite draw-back and parking in the nearby public car park is VERY expensive for an overnight stay.
the staff was friendly and knowledgeable
Dirty, dark rooms (I tried two), lumpy pillows, mini bar was not refreshed, dark and small closet in a Junior Suite, tiny windows. The worst was that in order to reach your room was so long and complicated, you needed 10 minutes and a map. Will never go back.
Location is great Getting upgraded to a Club Room - nice Comfortable bed Having more than the average hangers in the wardrobe Kinky blind that goes up allowing you to see your partner in the shower from the comfort of the bed!! Complimentary fruit and half bottle of decent red wine
The fact that, being female, having booked the room, everything then referred to Mr - that's just rude and careless and could be avoided with a little attention to detail The fire alarm went off at about 4.45 am - there was no mention of this or apology upon checkout in the morning Only having one wine glass in the room so having to drink the complimentary wine out of tumblers instead Having £50 charged to my card in advance to take care of "extras" that I didn't use £25 per person for breakfast is worthy of Dick Turpin - we went to Eat just down the road and were very happy
