I really like the location of the hotel which is perfect, I also like the "Shattaf" next to WC in the bathroom which is the water hose normally used instead of toilet paper, I liked the Arabic Channels and the TV screen size which is great. I did not like the size of the room, it's small but what was really bad is that all the hotel windows are sealed and not possible to open it for fresh natural air. There was leakage in the bathroom for 8 days I was promised it will be solved with no real action and the wash basin having problem.

The perfect location, clean rooms, staff, good breakfast, very nice and helpful staff. Not crowded. Quit and will come again to this hotel. The only this that room is small as usual in London. So without kids is ok but with kids higher room upgraded is needed. Other than that nothing.

The location. Terrible hotel. You pay the price of a top level hotel and what you have is a 4 star hotel at the most. Staff is complicated, no glamour at all at the reception nor at rooms, room service is poor and the internet connection failed many times.

Good location. For an Hotel that pretends to be a five star luxury Hotel, it is shocking to stay in a basement room with litter outside the window. It gets even worse when this is communicated to management and they are completely indifferent. This was a very disappointing stay.

The hotel is ideally located for shopping and has the potential to be very good if the service improves - particularly from a certain duty manager! We were checked in to a smoking room which absolutely stank of cigars and after complaining we were moved to a room with no double glazing overlooking a busy road. The noise of sirens and car horns was unbearable so we were moved again (at approx. 1.30am) only after begging and pleading and finally loosing my temper with a very unhelpful duty manager. We got settled in the end and the rest of our stay was lovely!

Location and friendliness of staff. Rooms where clean and all facilities where available. My room was very noisy to the point where I got woken up several times in the morning and in the evening. Probably because of the proximity to the elevator. Also there was no view so felt a little boxed in.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is less than 100 metres from marble arch, hyde park and oxford street and is within walking distance to the oxford rd shops, many resturants and the marble arch tube station. The ambiance of the hotel is also excellent - the foyer is immaculate and the concierge and door people were incredibly friendly and helpful. We got upgraded to a suite which was very spacious with 2 bathrooms and 2 TVS and is perfect for people travelling with families. The facilities at the hotel are also excellent, including a spa and gym. Our suite was located at the end of the corridor next to a storage room. Every morning during our stay from 6am the cleaners would unlock the door of the storage room and leave it ajar which meant every time they went in and out of the room, the door would slam. We were consistently woken up every morning by the noise of this door slamming and despite 3 complaints, including to the reception staff, the concierge and the housekeeping manager, the hotel did absolutely nothing to address the problem which was disappointing given that our sleep was affected every night. The level of cleaniness of the room was also disappointing with towels and toiletries not being replaced every day and glasses in the room not being cleaned.

The rooms was very comfy and nice decorated. Bed was good. The hotel is very good located and perfect for exploring London. We have been in London several times and normally stays in Nothing Hill and Kensington, but this was good. We didn't have to take a taxi to shop. The breakfast was way overpriced. About 20£ is expensive, but the hotel charge 5£ extra in service fee. That is not okay. 20£ is enough. We only got offered fresh bread the last day but paid full price all the other days. But there was fresh fruit, which we like.

Nice decor, spa, massage, roo, servce was fast I booked online and they advertized a king size bed, my husband is a big man and we were specificly looking for a room with a king bed and this is why I booked here, but when I arrived the bed was a queen size when I asked they said that they know most americans dont realize that the uk dosnt have king size beds that they call a king a double . The only thing they would offer me is a room with two twin size beds pushed together for an extra 80euro/night.

The Montcalm is an expensive hotel to stay at, however you can get some fantastic, affordable deals that allow you to stay at a far cheaper price. I loved the luxury at The Montcalm, having a doorman to open and close the front door for you, the lovely bathrooms with large baths and fantastic showers! Also the spa was lovely - massages etc cost extra but it's well worth saving up to have one done! The rooms were spotless as as the whole hotel. Fantastic location. 5 minute walk from Marble Arch (I think!) tube station and Oxford Street. It would have been nice to have some ordinary teabags and not just fancy ones in the bedroom. Also I struggled to frink out of the cup - the fancy swirl design of the handle makes it almost impossible to drink out of it left handed. They could have provided coffee too. The cost of breakfast is a lot for a breakfast and what you get especially if you're not that hungry but still want something to eat. You almost feel obliged to eat extra just because you're paying so much.

Location excellant , staff very helpful , room well furnished, restaurant meal excellant. At breakfast one would need to ask to see an english breakfast menu , which I personaly only realised during eating ones breakfast having taken food from the cooked section, which I paid for above normal continental breakfast. There did seem to be a differnence between the hotel staff and catering , alomost givingthe impression they were run by separtate organisations. The club room was not has large has portrade shown on the web site, our own bedroom at home is twice the size.
