Location to Cheltenham centre.
Lack of parking.
The hotel is situated in the heart of the Montpelier area of the town and only a short walk from the main shops. The staff are young and enthusiastic and the hotel restaurant provided an excellent evening meal and very good breakfasts served at your table. There is generally a relaxed feel to the hotel making for a very enjoyable stay.
We encountered no poor aspects over our 2 day stay
NOT VERY BIG ROOMS
A wonderful welcome, extremely attentive staff. Lovely restaurant.
Free mini bar !!!! 2 bottles of lager, water and small cans of coke !!! Not a welcome glass of wine in sight !!!! Expected more Parking !!! An issue this weekend as very busy ,everyone struggling to park. Restaurant v expensive ,not value for money but amazing service !!!
Understated decor Comfy/cosy communal areas Real fires
Room facilities Cleanliness Very modern Very stylish Friendly staff
staff and communal areas
bedroom as above
Location Open kitchen restaurant - nice meal Friendly restaurant staff
Limited parking; awkward underground car park for large cars when you find all of the spaces are taken
Location of hotel on busy road not ideal. Needed to change room three times and had to upgrade to feature room to benefit from noise reduction. I woke up with a stiff neck that I can only link to the bed and pillows. The rooms were extremely warm with very poor air con
The courtesy of all the staff was excellent from the reception to the waitresses made us feel welcome and looked after. I requested a quiet room and got a great nights sleep even though the hotel was busy. Very good central location
Going home to the kids
Quiet, comfortable bed, real milk provided in minibar.
Room too small. Would have preferred a smaller bed giving more space to move around + at least 1 chair.
All members of staff were polite and nothing was to much trouble. We were looked after which made our stay extra special.
Staff - unable to distinguish who they were
Good food and wine, friendly staff, undercover parking
Lighting was too dim in bedroom and switchgear a triumph of design over utility. Needs more choice of blended whisky in bar, such as Famous Grouse or Bells. Not everyone likes esoteric blends or malt.
The reception area was minimalistic, modern and very welcoming. Sensational breakfast in a delightful dining area, light and spacious, great range of healthy, fresh food, with excellent service. of the staff were friendly and professional.
I was fortunate enough to get the last car park, I did notice a couple drive in park and head off towards the town centre, have a feeling it was not all taken up by hotel residents. This could be an issue at busier times.
Great central location. Very nice room 007. Friendly and helpful staff.
The lounge areas. We found the seating to be quiet low and not very comfortable especially the chairs in the front windows as they have no head rest. The low coffee tables with the one quarter scooped out we felt were not very practical. We would have liked to have sat in the conservatory but found it to be cold,as other guests did.
Room lighting poor
Modern, clean hotel with good staff in great location. Good breakfast & liked the complimentary mini bar in our room. Limited contents but nice touch.
We had a superior room which was very small with an equally small ensuite bathroom. Nicely done out but poorly lit. The room rate was expensive as there was a race meeting on but even allowing for this we felt that this very small room was overpriced.
All very modern and smart, with a great breakfast.
Room size adequate but on the small side.
Pretty much everything
Although comfortable the standard rooms are very small
Location - easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very comfortable bed and linen
Air con was on on arrival and it was cold. Bathroom a little small but very nice
Location was great to Central area Waitstaff very friendly Bar area relaxing and cosy Spa was nice Food was always good and well presented....
A little too dark in the gym area
location perfect for local restaurants and bars. Good bathroom and shower. Decent hotel bar area(s). Very good Parking. Ipods in the room are a nice touch.
Hotel was rather hot. Bed not particularly comfy and duvet way too thick (so hot)! Breakfast was average (notably the eggs, coffee etc). Air-con was very noisy and it was difficult to navigate the room when someone was sitting at the dressing table. Overall, fairly expensive.
The Bed was very comfortable, nice balcony.
We were told on arrival that our booking was upgraded, as we HAD booked a Premier room I was very surprised by the one so called "upgrade" It was VERY small !! bathroom fittings plastic! Could not get HOT water for a bath. Requested a feather pillow on booking, was NOT waiting for us.
