The swimming pool was quite small but as we were the only people in there at the time, it was ok. The sauna was good and the changing facilities were clean. A bit small if the pool area gets busy. We found the hotel to be incredibly overpriced for what we got. We booked what we thought was the best room, but although it was clean, it was very standard. To have a larger breakfast, there was a charge of £2.50 which is a rip off when you are paying as much as we did to stay there.

I have stayed at the Moorhill House Hotel several times during the last the last few years in order to visit my mother and aunt who are in a residential home in Bransgore. I have always found the staff and service to be extremely good and the breakfast and dinner well cooked and served. The rooms are always clean and welcoming and because of its location it is a very quiet hotel.

The hotel was superbly located in the New Forest, and if you're looking for peace and quiet then you're looking at the right hotel. The staff are friendly, relaxed, and attentive, and the facilities are good. Can be a tad tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area. I arrived at night and the signpost was difficult to see in the dark. Plus I was busy dodging the New Forest ponies which frankly all adds to the fun. It's a small criticism, and shouldn't be a problem for most people.

I specifically booked this hotel as it accommdated my dog. The location of the hotel is fabulous as it is right in the heart of the New Forest and the walks are just great. The hotel even supplies towels (at the door) to wipe down your dog after walks. I didn't use the indoor swimming pool but will do so on my next visit.

Friendly staff & easy going attitude. We enjoyed our break for personal reasons. Disappointed with selection of evening meals & quality of meal poor. Nit picking with pricing (particularly the breakfast charges) this was not necessary the selection was god enough without two tier choices. Also my husband rang the hotel to arrange a bottle of champagne ( Moët) was delivered on the first evening when I was entertaining other family members as a get to gether. He had asked for a message of "have this one on me" to be delivered to the table as a surprise. This did not happen which disappointed him greatly although we guessed it was from him. The impact of his generosity was lost nevertheless.

We found it clean, comfortable and heading towards the 'upmarket', luxury end of the scale, without making you feel uncomfortable or awkward. The pool was empty and the sauna likewise; we would definitely recommend a stay at the Moorhill House - we plan to repeat our stay! If I had to criticise at all it was the lack of staff; there appeared to be only one one young lady who seemed a bit tired, but was doing her best. She seemed inexperienced and a little 'left too it', but no criticism of her personally intended.

I have stayed many times before over nearly twenty years and I return because I feel comfortable and relaxed as the hotel is not pretentious. I love to drive down the lane to the hotel knowing that I will be right in the middle of the forest - I feel cut off from the real world and sometimes that is exactly what we all need. I love the breakfast and the food in general and the staff are always friendly and smiley. It would have been good to know beforehand that I did not have a shower I could stand up in as the water pressure is very low. I feel that rooms that do not have have, the now expected basic requirements e.g. a walk in shower should not be charged at the same rates of those that do.

Quaint, little hotel in a secluded location. Friendly and helpful staff attending to ones every need. Fantastic restaurant serving a wide selection of delicious meals. Well stocked, reasonably priced bar, would stay again. A little disappointed at having to pay a supplement for fish for breakfast

Extremely quiet and relaxing. Exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff. Hotel and grounds in very good order and its location means you can switch off from the outside world if you want - if you don't the free WiFi is there to keep you connected. Didn't have dinner in the restaurant but the breakfasts were lovely. The bed was very small. And the small road off the main road to Burley leading to the hotel has 150 yards of horrendous potholes so go slow.

We arrived on Thursday evening and were told that you had misread our booking and we only had one room not two as we had requested. The reception lady said she would have to offer us a different room which apparently was an upgrade (I could not see any difference between the two rooms). The lady then done the most bizarre thing and come into the room and removed what she called the extras (water, robes, slippers and teabags). I could'nt believe it, as it was you that messed up the booking in the first place, the least you could do was let us keep the (extras). Very strange idea of customer service and how to get guest to return don't you think???
