The Frank family have owned the Moors Inn since 2000 and have done extensive renovations during their ownership to bring this delightful listed building up to date. Janet, the driving force behind the pub, is a trained chef and Mike is a keen gardener, so the kitchen provides good homecooking with lots of fresh local produce. The emphasis from us and our staff is on making sure you have a relaxed stay and get the best out of your stay in this lovely part of North Yorkshire.

The shower went cold and hot water ran to a trickle in the sink.

Beautiful food and drink comfortable dining room Atmospheric bar area Room was fine
7 April 2015
The only downside was that our room was just above the bar and this meant we were woken quite early on two mornings by those having an early breakfast
Difficult to decide as the atmosphere, food and accommodation were 1st class.

Nothing that the welcome we received out weighed!
Very friendly staff, who all went the extra mile. Food was amazing - made gluten free options available with notice. All locals in inn friendly & welcoming.

no complaints really; however the pub sign hung outside our window creaked all night with the wind and a member of staff walked in whilst I was just in my pants!
This is an idyllic village pub with friendly and helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere where you felt very welcome.

The room, the staff, the pub and the food and beer was fantastic.

Attractive refurbished inn which is popular with the locals of this small village of Appleton. It is evident that the manager John has much successful experience in major hotels prior to his current role in the Moors Inn. Well run inn with a most friendly manner from all staff and excellent meals around a log fire.

there wasn't ant info on what to do in an emergency . nothing explain how to get in tough with the member of staff on overnight duty.
the whole stay was outstanding, the staff made you feel as you were at home.nothing was to much trouble for you had no phone signal inside so the staff didn't mind getting friends to phone the inn. room were very clean and tidy
8 February 2015
Shower water pressure was very low. No music playing during evening meal, which made it quite uncomfortable for the quest. Apparently they don't have a music licence for the dining room.
Staff were extremely friendly. Our room was lovely, with the most comfortable bed ever.

Not a good place to go if your looking for a lively time but can not knock the hotel itself. But go here if you want anything else but nightlife.
Staff very friendly, location lovely, bedroom clean and comfy. Fantastic food and breakfast was fresh, hot and very tasty and we are both hard to please when it comes to food. We checked out later than we should have done and arrived late but they could not have been more accommodating, helpful and welcoming.
