Above a decent pub, close enough to the city centre and some lively nightlife.

Nothing really although i probably wouldnt recommend it to someone after an early night due to the fact it's above a pub.

An inspiring place for the "dormitory-proof" weird-fiction writer. :) Perhaps not the best choice for the picky businessman, but if you can tolerate the music from downstairs on weekends, this place is good value for the money.

- Bed was a bit too short for me but then I am tall - There was a mirror hidden behind a wardrobe for some reason.

I received a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I had a lovely evening meal cooked by Andrew. Colleen was lovely and so were the customers. I was just a short bus ride away from Birmingham city centre and ther bus' were every 5 minutes.

Close to city centre. Adequacy of a short stay in Birmingham with no frills. Noticed buses passed by on regular basis, though enjoyed the short walk into town. 15 mins in heels!!

Although had facilities to make a coffee or tea, there was an oversight of no cups provided to drink from.

firstly the stairs to the first floor were very steep, the stairs to the second floor were impossible, they were narrow winding attic stairs not able to get a suitcase up alone.food was advertised but when we arrived on fri afternoon were told food was only available in the week to workmen. we had no food.the rest of the place was a workmens bar not a comfy hotel as in photos.a bit scruffy.not going again. only one 3 drawer bedside cupboard in the room no wardrobe. very dissapointing.

the welcome (guy behind bar) was very good and genuine. He used my first name rather than last (I prefer this; do not feel comfortable being called by my surname and being called "sir"). He gave me keys and told me where room was. Said I could buy a drink at bar and take it to the room. I'd inteneded to do this but had noticed they had large screens in bar and had spanish football with Barcelona vs Real Madrid (know not everyone would be into footie on the telly. Flat screen tv in room so was not without tv in room) so had to come down and watch match - with a book too! Bar is large but only had two people in it, so was a bit of heaven for me; sitting there in the quiet, with pint, footie on the telly and a book after a long weeken at a meeting. They were very trusting too. As was leaving earlier the next day than the bar was open - I had to walk through the empty bar to leave; I could have walked of with some of the bar stock!!! I would never do that and hope nobody else would take advantage of their trust; this is just given as an example of their trust If you want a flash expensive room in Birmingham - then you would not want to stay here. If you wanted a nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful stay in Birmingham than this would be ideal. I was sorry not to get the chance in the morning to say thanks to the guy who was behind the bar and welcomed me when I arrived since I saw no one

the room was really nice; not luxurious but a nice, clean and felt "homely" The bed however was awful; the springs in the mattress had all gone so was very, very uncomfortable. Luckly they had given me three pillows so could out them between me and the matteress - otherwise do not think could have slept. They need to replace it!! Or at least get one of those memory foam things to put between you and the matteress! It was a nice bathroom with a nice shower and plenty of space - but for some reason there was no mirror? This made shaving in the morning a bit of a careful operation!!

I liked the location and the atmosphere within the building, staff were friendly and helpful, room was great value and food was good, would recommend to others and stay again if in the area.

Could do with thicker Pillows

The bed was very good.

There were no side tables or dressing table at all. Nowhere even to make a cup of tea other than on the floor.

TV seemed a bit dangerous, made a load of crackling noises when I was trying to get it going!! Couldn't open my window, no fresh air.. Litter from previous resident under the bed- does this mean the room hadn't been cleaned?! No one about in the morning to check-out..

The Moseley Arms is right in the centre of the city, and has free secure parking. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. I was a bit put off by some of the reviews I read but the room I had was excellent for the money I paid I.E. nice big double bed with plasma screen and clean en suite with amazing views over the city!

It was in a convinient area for my night out to the hmv institute and close to the coach station, it was great value for money and the staff were very helpful and pleasent. The meal I had in the evening was great value and they gave you alot for your money.The room i stayed in had an ensuite and the bed was comfortable.

Sadly the morning i left we had torential rain and thunder and lightening, when i walked out of my room there was a really bad leak in the hall and there were no staff available to tell or anything I could put under the leak to help the situation, I feel even though it is a pub and the premises doesn't open till around midday there should maybe have been a contact number for staff in an emergency.

Very basic and overpriced. Stains on carpet and duvet. No table to prepare drinks. No shower gel etc in bathroom. No chairs. Curtains were hanging off rails. No hand towels. Very steep and narrow staircase to rooms. Residents door from bar to rooms was closed at around 11pm so had to go outside to get to rooms. Very noisy until 2am due to disco in bar. Website showed evening meals and breakfast would be available but we were told on arrival there would be no food available during our stay. I actually went home at 2.30am due to a fight breaking out in the bar which led to police being called. Definitely would not stay there again. Have heard nothing from landlord regarding a refund even though i was promised on the night that he would call in the morning.

Está cerca del centro, tiene parking privado gratis. Bien situado para coger la carretera principal rápido.

Las camas son muy incómodas, son de muelles y se unden. La limpieza no es su fuerte. Los viernes hay fiesta hasta las 2 de la mañana en el pub que está justo debajo y se escucha todo en las habitaciones, casi que es mejor bajar y unirte a la fiesta. El personal de la recepción son camareros bastante antipáticos. No sirven ni desayuno ni cenas.

The carpets were dirty and the whole place needed a re-vamp.

Simple but decent accommodation, well-placed and convenient, friendly staff.

The room has a nice temperature, you feel very comfortable.

The bed was horrible to sleep on, not comfortable at all.
