The Motel, Ribby Hall Village

This was not really a motel at all. It is a holiday camp with a few rooms described as a motel. It is 200 metre walk (in the rain) to get breakfast or dinner and the poorly signed reception area is also a distance from the rooms.

spa was good and the hotel aqua thermal experience was relaxing

when I asked at reception for an extra toilet roll and brew extras was told that we were only entitled too 1 per stay and that the tea tray would have to be replemished by ourselves . we went to the near village of wrea green and bought extras but where very disappointed that a 5* company had treated us in this way so we do not recommend the motel but if in the future we could save up again would try out the hotel.

Room was fine for 1 or 2 night stay beds and toilet shower area were good.

Did not have very good soundproofing as a babies cry or a loud voice could be heard quite clearly.

being a visitor to ribbyhall from around 1996 when our family was young now as oldies we still love the place as much as ever. we hav always been in the cottages before but the motel for a couple is spot on and so relaxing , people say there is always room for improvement , but ribbyhall has always ben top notch for us. keep the standards at top level as they have always been.

Small TV in room Reception welcome not efficient. Did not come attend to me striaghtaway, no-one present in reception. Asked for payment even though we had already paid when booking on the internet through Booking.com

This was our first visit I had a great time in the spa. the surroundings were wonderful, and so peaceful.

Welcoming staff on arrival at Reception and in the Tea Room and shop, comfortable rooms, great shower. Thought everything was brand new but a staff member said she had worked there for nearly 20 years !! Had a mid-morning coffee in the Spa on her recommendation and was impressed with the calm relaxing environment.

Only (slight) grumble was that the shower leaked on to the bathroom floor. Motel room 3

Was well impressed with the grounds on arrival, clean well looked after. Staff are very friendly and looked happy in there work to. Very informative.

I burnt myself on a very hot radiator in the bathroom. I did report it to your self and got confirmation email back that maintanence would check it straight away. Would love a discount on our next visit please !

The facilities catered for all types of people. Plenty of activities - food to suit all pockets and a choice of accomodation.

There wasn't anything that I could complaint about. I'm hoping to have a spa break sometime later this year

I upgraded from the motel to the hotel so that I could have a wake up call as I had in work for 5am. I never received the wake up call- pretty annoying!

Everything, very family friendly but good for parents too. Will return.

The sound proofing is not good, noise from adjoining rooms and we were disturbed by the walkie talkie noise and general noise of the cleaners in the morning, which was quite loud.

The room was very clean and the cleaning staff very friendly. Didnt use the clubs/restaurants/pool so can not comment. Reception staff very good on check in and check out.

Not very happy about not being able to park car up at the front of the motel. It was pouring down and got wet through walking from car park. I am not disabled as such but have trouble with breathing in cold weather copd so I struggled.

The cleanliness of the rooms and the excellent service provided by the staff. Very friendly and welcoming.

The main reception for the motel isn't in the motel which is really an independent building with several rooms off a corridor, it wasn't clear that the reception for this was separate. We had parked at the motel then had to go back to the reception at the entrance to the Ribby hall to book in and pick up keys, then return to the motel to drop off the luggage, then had to return the car to the main car park and walk back to the Motel, Exhausting isnt it? The corridor in the Motel had bad staining on the carpet and the cups and saucers in the room hadnt been washed, however this didnt spoil our stay and overall for the price we were pleased.

Nice location, easy to find and convenient for a trip to Blackpool. The staff were all excellent, the room was modern, clean and comfortable and there were nice touches with complimentary toiletries provided in the very smart shower room. The adults only pool and the changing rooms and showers were all really lovely and far better than you might expect in a holiday village. Tea & coffee facilities were available in the room, but it was a treat to have Starbucks on site.

I can't think of anything negative to say.

The only thing I can say is that it was local to my business meeting. It was a holiday park rather than a hotel /motel that I was expecting.

It's called a Motel, but it's really a handful of rooms in a 1 storey building. It has no reception of its own or any parking outside. The bed was uncomfortable and I spent the night killing mosquitoes. I'm sure it's a nice place for a holiday if you like holiday parks, but it's not for the average business traveller unless you're attending their conference centre.

There was plenty to do on site.

The walls are very thin. We could hear everything the people in the next room were saying and even heard a sigh!

Very good all round atnosphere and well kept
