LOVELY QUIET SURROUNDINGS , FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF, EXCELLENT FOOD , COMFORTABLE BEDS , VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED HOTEL.
Idyllic small village, good base for nature travelling
We travelled from Inverness and arrived at dinner time only to find out that the hotel restaurant was fully booked. To our unfortune, the hotel is the only decent place within a walking distance to eat. (We did walk to another hotel nearby, but the food there was the worst we've eaten on these islands.) Morale of the story: when staying at this hotel and planning to eat on arrival, make a reservation for the restaurant in good time.
Waking up in the morning to a nice view
Room was small and HOT WATER WAS SCALDING!! Hotel please take note and place signs warning people
The Mountview is a lovely Hotel situated with great views of the surrounding countryside. It was very busy when we visited but still quiet in the room. Lovely food in the restaurant and a good breakfast to start you off for the day. The staff were friendly and attentive as usual an despite a busy restaurant we weren't kept waiting. Well maintained hotel with clean room and good facilities. We will return - especially as we know now we still won't need a passport for our next visit :-)
Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Free wifi. Single room was small but bright, clean and very comfortable. Excellent food. Local beers available. Very close to local amenities.
The hotel is in a beautiful location and the furniture and design is good.
The hotel is in the middle of a park that is very visited for bird watching and therefore the times are adapted for that. We were there in honeymoon and were awaked at 5:30 am because of tours leaving the hotel :(
Exquisite location. Great ambience. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant.
lovely view, a very big room with two windows, nice bathroom and a good restaurant. The room is very clean and the staff is always polite wifi available everywhere in the hotel
restaurant a bit too expensive for our budget. the room rate was 100pounds per night which is also a bit too expensive, no gym
Location, accommodation, food, staff, red squirrel
The view. Good spacious room for a single.
bathroom had no fan ventilation and i couldn't open the window after use.
good clean room, great size, important to have a good breakfast as I had a full working day ahead , and this was very good ( hand knitted)
wi fi was a bit sporadick but this was pointed out, and is an issue in the area , so not their fault
The staff were excellent and very welcoming. A rare comodity! Thank you.
We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was out of this world. Really the best meal we had during our entire trip to Scotland. The staff are amazing: my elderly father wasn't feeling well and they were so kind to him. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The dinner The staff The location The lounge The magnificent view
The size of the shower cabin was a bit too small
Hotel was very good shame about the creaking floorboards .
Really comfortable, pretty rooms and lovely breakfast at wonderful value. Lovely village location, so peaceful.
Single room was very small with poor quality furniture. The shower room/toilet was small and smelly. The shower head was fixed to the holder with black electrical tape. The service at breakfast wasn't good - the waitress kept getting peoples orders wrong. Overall at £50 a night it was bad value for money.
over bath shower
Price...excellent, especially for the area and time of year. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast
Bedroom furniture (very) old and dated.
Very friendly and helpful staff and Excellent food. Location great for Birdwatching sites and walking.
