convenient to our venue
I thought it was too much money for a room with a broken window frame cracked basin squeaking floor boards and no en suite and no mains water in the room. also only one of the showers on the first floor worked.
The friendly welcome and politeness of the manageress.
Free wifi was excellent. Contintental breakfast delivered at your time of choosing was great. Room, shower and bathroom facilities were spotless. House is really clean and tidy.
It's a little bit too far outside Cambridge for walking, but there are bus stops nearby and taxis can always be got.
Clean and comfortable room
Shower VERY hard to use - broken Overpriced for standard of accommodation
It was quiet.
The front door was always wide open; the door of our room was hard to open and close; we could not hang out our clothes; the bed was hard and small; the shared bathroom was a disaster, not even a hook for your clothes or towel, a dirty bathmat that was never changed in four days. A lousy, poor breakfast. And this is not all...
Convenient location and value for money. Great just for somewhere to crash
T V in room.
Noisy road. Slept with ear plugs. White toast & cornflakes. I prefer muesli & whole meal bread.
Comfortable, clean room. Nice staff, good breakfast (served in room), quiet location.
Far from the city center (45 min walk), altough there are fast bus lines nearby. No reception nor common areas.
The credit card machine was broken. I have to go to ATM to withdrow room charge. There is no sign about the B&B.
For a low cost stay very close to Addenbrookes this is a great "no frills" option.
Although it is in a good area the security is a little weak, for example, the main door with a coded lock was keep ajar for long periods.
It was cheap
It was poorly maintained and the feeling of a student bedsit
Staff welcome was superb, and throughout the stay we were given great information.
Nothing could be faulted
the breakfast was very good
the b&b was run down there was bird poo all over the window
Room and bathroom were spotless, we could come and go as we pleased and breakfast was plentiful - cereal, toast, yoghurt, juice all fresh and brought to our room. There is no owner living there, just the lady who cleans and prepares breakfast, but if no one is in there is a mobile number to call with any problems. Would recommend and stay again.
It is a fair walk from the station/city centre but the hotel is in a pleasant part of town, and very well linked by bus. Far more reasonably priced than more central B&Bs, and the difference in cost is far more than the bus fare.
Very friendly, helpful staff (again!)
Clean place, helpful staff, comfortable room
The place is a bit run down, £55 w/out en suite and far from centre seems expensive to me. Are these Cambridge prices?
Too far out from city center. Building is too Noisy!!! My friends and I could not sleep at all. You could hear the movement from everybody in the entire hostel. When she delivered breakfast in the morning, she wok everyone up as soon as she knocked on the first door. The bathroom was poorly maintained too.
Convenient place to stop on my cycle tour
Cornflakes and white toast served in the room
Location was easy to find but there wasn't any parking available on site due to the families cars.
Disgusting bathrooms. Lack of working shower. Generally unclean. Noisy. Poor quality beds, bedding, towels. The worst place I have ever stayed.
No carpet on stairs so every tread was audible. Shower did not work. Toilet seat in shared bathroom not fixed. Walls thin so every move in adjacent rooms audible. Cut priced accommodation at medium price range. I shall not book it again.
The location is excellent for Addenbrookes. The room was rather threadbare but generally clean.
The shared bathroom/toilet was not clean.
The whole thing it was very clean
Breakfast was delivered. And it was quiet.
The ceiling was crumbling and all toilets has stains and didn't look clean. Towels were rough textured. Had no communication with owner so if something had gone wrong I wouldn't of known who or where to contact her.
