Friendly host; clean and comfortable accommodation; central location to shopping, seaside and theatreland. Honesty bar was a nice touch.

Shower cool even on max heat setting.

Limited menu for evening meal

The staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. Our superior room was very nice with a very large bed and the shower was great. The location of The Mowbray was excellent for us and it was nice and quiet.

There was a lot of dust on the main light shade and the bathroom window was filthy. Also the bathroom on the right behind the door needs a proper coat of paint. Might sound picky but compared to the rest of the room which was lovely & at the price it's what I personally expect. This aside I would recommend it.

couldn'T open all the windows. stain round the outside of the shower cubicle. paintwork on inside of the windows when opened very shabby. the area outside the windows in the breakfast room was unkempt.

Friendly staff, great location, bed really comfortable. Great breakfast and would highly recommend eating in at the Mowbray, food was fabulous and great value for money.

Tiny bathroom.

My partner & I stayed here as we needed a break away from the hussel & bussel of London. We found the staff very welcoming & friendly, the place clean & tidy, the bed very comfy & the breakfast was amazingly & surprisingly delicious too! Can not fault the hotel at all good value for money & local to all that we needed, beach walks, shops, restaurants & the theatre which we will be going back to for!

The only down side I can say is the size of the shower room, but it was clean & did its job so no real complaint.

Great size bed was very comfy. Great breaky worth the money paid.

Towels not big enough. Out fault should have asked reception.

Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. Darren was really friendly and even upgraded us to a superior room. This was the first time for ten years that I have stated at the Mowbray and I have to say the standard has most definately gone up. Thank you, we hope to come back soon.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellant with a great choice.

There was nothing i didnt like.

Rooms are very nice close to town centre and to beach. Lovely couple that run the Mowbray

Bathroom was a bit on the small side

Staff were excellent, couldn't fault any of them.

Room pictures on the site are nothing like the bedrooms. I didnt enjoy the room, cheap decor and bathroom wasn't clean. Corner shelving where you put shower gel n shampoo was filthy and hadn't been cleaned in months. Bedding felt damp even though the room was hot. Would not stop here again due to misleading information

Excellent breakfast, very welcoming owner, lovely relaxed atmosphere , comfortable bed, DVD library.

Bathroom was a bit small, but can't see how they could alter that.

Free parking and the breakfast

The room, although the brochure said had been renovated, was not of high standard. The cupboards had chips in. The towels provided were frayed and worn and did not fit around me- they were tiny.I'm 5'8 and my toes hung off the end of the bed. The room was very small and right at the top of the building. The only time I saw a friendly staff member, was check in and breakfast- it was eerily quiet and had no buzz about it.

Very nice hotel in quiet location beside theatre. Breakfast is superb with about 10 fruits available self service. Very large bed with 6 pillows! Warm & comfortable. Will DEFINATELY stay again.

The genuine welcome and helpfull staff.

Owner was very friendly and helpful. We would go back and stay if we visited Eastbourne again. Excellent location for theatres which are in walking distance so could leave car parked up outside the hotel.

Italian Restaurant just down the road called Pizzeria Ristorante, lovely food and the service was good just found it to be very expensive for what we had.

The room was very small but had everything I needed. The breakfast was really excellent, freshly made full english and plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghert etc. The staff were great - friendly and helpful. Really excellent value for money.

Totally my own fault - having to enter via a key box late at night, but totally understandable given the staff had all gone to bed and they tried to leave messages on my mobile. There was a flickering light in the bathroom, but that's a small point.

The superior room we had was lovely, clean, comfortable & facilities were great. The staff were so friendly & welcoming & the breakfast was absolutely lovely. There was a huge variety on offer to suit all tastes. We are very much looking forward to visiting the Mowbray again.

the rooms where very stylish and sleak,the hotel was very clean and tidy and the hotel owners are very helpfull and friendly,i deff will be going back again..would highly reccomend
