Staff helpful; breakfasts: good choice and plentiful; wonderful location; free parking voucher.
Difficulty finding the car park as we arrived when it was dark.
Everything you could ever need. The four poster bed was so comfortable. Just great.
Good location and atmosphere.
Open staircase near bathroom door. I was scared my husband would fall down the stairs in the dark.
Plush room; character
Felt I was on conveyer belt plus the stairs!
Walks by River, picturesque village, gorgeous countryside, friendly people
The views are great, comfortable and friendly
Room was excellent. Breakfasts superb. Real ales superb too. We would like to stay again and will certainly recommend the Mug House to others
There was really nothing we didn't like.
..... was magnificent ( beer good too ! - the night before )
fantastic food fantastic location fantastic service
Bedroom was nice and big, with river Severn views
Great location and room was very nice. Gentleman checking us in supplied a bowl of chips to the room as we were in a rush to get out when they do not do room service (its the little extras outside of normal service which makes a difference) Fantastic breakfast!!
Only 1 towel provided but I'm sure i could have had a 2nd (as there were 2 of us) if i had asked
The location, the charming building and the friendly staff. (We are from Sweden and visited your hotel because of a wedding)
The bbq area is a great concept . 90% of the beer garden is undercover fully lit, with patio heaters and permanent bbq serving 6 days a week .It's family friendly ,you can eat ,drink , smoke and bring your dog .Had 2 great nights ,nowhere where we live does any thing like this .Great breakfast ,plenty of choice.
Probably should have booked in advance but as a resident disappointed couldn't get a table in the restaurant on the saturday night .Enjoyed bbq instead. Nearly needed a ladder to get in bath !
Staff were really good and stay was excellent. Would highly recommend.
On our second visit the welcome we received was far from good. He was most unhelpful so we didn't eat at Mug house at all
Had a large double room with a two seat couch and a separate area with a desk and chair, large flat screen TV (free view). Large bathroom with bath and shower over. The food both evening meal and breakfast was excellent, with very pleasant staff. The pub is right on the river side with a rowing club across the river. Town centre a short walk with everything you could need from pubs to places to eat. Would not hesitate to stay here again
location,helpful staff, good atmosphere
vegetarian breakfast with black pudding on the plate, waitress couldn't see what was wrong, so would be suspect on their vegy options in other meals
Lovely old building in superb location overlooking the River Severn. Staff were very friendly.
It was a bit noisy in our room over the bar but the noise did finish just after midnight.
Location next to river Fresh milk in fridge Opening windows 6ft bed
Nothing that anyone can change but the hotel fronts onto busy tourist route so people noise features loudly!
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good clean room.
Bathroom needs updating especially shower.
Helpful staff who made you feel really welcome. If you like good ale,a great selection. The Inn is as the website shows, right on the riverbank.
the town and position was great ,
the cups in the room were not washed when we arrived , milk at breakfast was off. chef was the most miserable bastard I have ever seen in a hotel. mushrooms and tomatoes were greasy cooked in the fryer , should have been grilled , avoided breakfast the next day just had scrambled egg which was good. did not entertain having a meal there in the restaurant . Room is tired needs decorating , carpet filthy tables and chairs are disgusting , whole place needs a lot of money spent to bring it up to date bar toilets were not clean .
staff very quick and efficient and friendly - accommodation well equipped and everything worked - high standard of décor in bedrooms - setting exceptional - food good
Good food, historic ambience proximity to town centre.
Less suitable for an elderly person. Steep stairs to the bedrooms and a bath that was difficult to get into.
Excellent location. Great food and atmosphere....
