nice hotel pleasant service and staff, and a very special rate for B&B
bed wasnt the best, Rm 12 Limited WiFi reception in room
A great little hotel that looked after us very well with fantastic food,
On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. She asked us if either of us had a problem with stairs and as I do she went out of her way to put us in a ground floor room. The room was good and a reasonable size as was the bathroom. No complaints. We ate in the bar and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff we dealt with were extremely pleasant and helpful. There was a different receptionist when we checked out and again very friendly and helpful.
Anything that we didn't like was minute and would be very petty of me to mention. We used the facilities at the Murray Park sister hotel the Crieff Hydro. My friend used the gym and said it was good. I used the Victorian Spa and was very disappointed. If you were going to spend a whole day there the charge of £10 is possibly ok. For me it was too much as i was only there for an hour. The pool has seen better days with the tiling requiring to be replaced or re-grouted. I was very much looking forward to the Victorian Spa but it was not a pleasant experience.
The staff were very welcoming from the outset and nothing was any trouble for them. We had a snack in the lounge bar which was excellent value for money and well prepared by the chef. We had an issue with the started in the evening, but this was resolved quickly and professionally by our waitress
The television didn't work in the rrom, but again this was sorted out with no trouble by the staff. starter was cold when I was served it at my eveing meal, but this was sorted out quickly and we were given complimentary drinks
Uncomfortable bed Expensive food Pretentious dining room (not a restaurant)
Spacious well organised bedroom. Good food. Friendly staff. Parking. General ambience.
Carpets in passages needed a clean. Used bed linen left lying in passages outside bedrooms long after rooms have been occupied by new guests.
Pleasant staff. Super breakfast. All in all good value for money. Would stay again.
All aspects of our stay viz food, drink, friendliness of all staff, cleanliness of our bedroom / ensuite and location.
Stair / landing carpet very tired and unfortunately dirty / heavily stained.
Good food, friendly staff and atmosphere.
Raining all the time.....
The staff can't help you enough very friendly and helpful. Food was first class and a bonus you can use the facilities of the hydro just round the corner.
Helpful, happy, efficient staff. Excellent food.
Food is superb. Staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Felt very welcome and at home at every turn.
Nothing at all negative
Staff were v friendly and helpful,Had a great variety at breakfast and overall had a great stay.
Wifi, tv is tiny and bed is a two singles stuck together.
Great setting to access Crieff hydro and all its leisure facilities! I travelled with my 3 children aged 2, 6 and 10 and there was plenty to suit all! Will definitely be back! Didn't hang around much in the hotel as we were out most of the day but what we experienced was excellent!
The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful
View from bedroom. Breakfast was good. Use of facilities at the hydro.
It's tired in need of a makeover.
Lovely welcoming and attentive staff at reception, bar and restaurant. A credit to the hospitality industry.
Room very hot despite window open, however this may be welcome as winter is on it way
The smaller hotel with a friendly atmosphere and a personal touch. Very close to the Hydro but preferred the Murray Park. Food and wine was good too. We went into the town and enjoyed a stroll around the shops. A good base and close the Glasgow.
Excellent staff at a lovely little hotel! Access to the facilities at Crieff Hydro - would definitely recommend!
Location Good sized room Good food Comfortable
Food Room Service Knowledge of local areas given by staff
The facilities at the hydro
The stair carpets were needing replaced or at least cleaned. Along with some redecoration of the stairwells
Food - great breakfast and dinner Location was perfect Pass for the Hydro facilities was excellent
Location of Hotel.
Beds not properly made every day, e.g. botton sheet not straightened and pillows just thrown any how on the bed. As menu was obviously not changed regularly we thought there could have been a couple of "chef's specials" every night to ring he changes. Rooms very cold from 3.30 onwards and as the weather was poor during our stay we found this very uncomfortable. As the main guests' lounge was in the Reception area this was also very cold so there was not a comfortable area for guests to sit and read or watch tv. The bottom of one bed was very worn and strands which appeared to be shredded paper were coming loose. These became stuck to the carpet.
The breakfast and location
The confusion over bookings with the hydro. That had us waiting 45 mins after a 4.5hr drive.
