The 4 poster bedroom
Being served snotty eggs
Location, staff, food.
Inadequate lighting. Heating not working. Wifi signal atrocious. They say it's available in the guest lounge but it was never more than 1bar. Signal extremely strong at reception - a few feet away! Why don't they invest in a booster?
We had a great time staying in The Museum. The room was brilliant and we would definately stay again and would recommed it to anybody. Also the location is beautiful.
The room was second to none. Nice to be out in the country away from it all, nice and quiet at night.
Having to book a table for evening meal as a resident.
Shower could have a bit more pressure
Location, friendly and attentive staff
Slightly over expensive price of wine for a country pub.
Excellent in all respects.
The food was superb, the staff were lovely, the location was heavenly. We love to stay at country Inns and this was such a pretty location. Everyone was extreme helpful and very informal, just right.
Everything was wonderful, my partner and I are very tall, so the boot room seemed a bit small, and quite noisy over the bar. But we loved the place regardless.
The staff were so efficient, friendly and welcoming whilst maintaing professionalism throughout. Our particular thanks to Denisa who was fantastic and also to Christina who organied our booking and dinner although she was on holiday when we vistied the Museem. The food was great and we loved being in the "Shed" as it was a family dinner the evening before our daughter's wedding. Thanks to all.
Nothing, all excellent.
Friendly staff Location Comfortable bed Good beer on tap
Breakfast was uninspiring. Coffee like dishwater but was replaced when asked. Selection of jams, etc limited Cooked breakfast on second morning was better but was put off from eating lunch or dinner there. Stayed in one of the stable rooms which are next to the terrace so some disturbance from wedding party sitting outside at night Shower screen on bath screen does not seal so floor gets wet Room was very clean but had very strong smell of cleaning product on entering. This dissipated when the window was opened
The first breakfast
Nice pub with good food, especially breakfast, and local beers. Clean room with very comfortable bed. Best of all are the (when we were there) all female and mostly young staff. Very eager to please, very professional. Would recommend without hesitation
Car full of dogs parked outside barking at 7 am!
Food excellent. Rooms very nice.
Attention needed to shower. First night could not get hot water for shower but hot water for bath. Shower head need cleaning water spraying out of sides everywhere. Our room a bit noisy over bar.
excellent staff great room great location very quiet
can't say a bad word was a great visit.
Very comfortable clean room and bathroom. Friendly staff. Lovely food.
The General's Room, delicious food and pleasant and good serviceservice
Everything, especially the bath and our upgrade for no apparent reason
I think being situated in a quaint working village with thatched cottages is really pleasant so for me the location was great.
Clean comfortable and relaxing with kind cheerful and helpful staff
All round excellent. Food is superb and accommodation is very good. Staff are really lovely and friendly
Unfortunately I had a really bad sleep due to a customers dog barking intermittently for over an hour outside my window between 10.30 till 11.30pm, bar noise,(especially doors slamming as they closed up the bar) and then early delivery of the kegs the next morning. I think I was unlucky but next time I will ask for a stable room.
Staff enthusiastic and very friendly, despite it being very busy. Cleanliness was exceptional as was the food. Basic rooms are a good size with good storage facilities and a good comfy bed. Lovely location.
Nothing really - wifi whilst free is very slow so doubt that you'd be able to stream stuff and signal is patchy, and it's a pub so it's bustling and busy so if that bothers you some earplugs might be an idea.
Took my mum to stay here on a trip to Dorset for her 80th birthday. A beautiful old inn in a picture-perfect Hamlet. The rooms were excellent as was the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole stay was all we could have wished for and more. I heartily recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from it all!
lovely quiet location, dog friendly
staff unhelpful, food very expensive
Bar and restaurant very pleasant Room clean , nice bedding and towels Staff helpful food tasty
Room was quite small and dark Shower leaked over the bath side under the shower screen and soaked the floor
