The staff were so efficient, friendly and welcoming whilst maintaing professionalism throughout. Our particular thanks to Denisa who was fantastic and also to Christina who organied our booking and dinner although she was on holiday when we vistied the Museem. The food was great and we loved being in the "Shed" as it was a family dinner the evening before our daughter's wedding. Thanks to all.

    Nothing, all excellent.

Friendly staff Location Comfortable bed Good beer on tap

Breakfast was uninspiring. Coffee like dishwater but was replaced when asked. Selection of jams, etc limited Cooked breakfast on second morning was better but was put off from eating lunch or dinner there. Stayed in one of the stable rooms which are next to the terrace so some disturbance from wedding party sitting outside at night Shower screen on bath screen does not seal so floor gets wet Room was very clean but had very strong smell of cleaning product on entering. This dissipated when the window was opened

Nice pub with good food, especially breakfast, and local beers. Clean room with very comfortable bed. Best of all are the (when we were there) all female and mostly young staff. Very eager to please, very professional. Would recommend without hesitation

    Food excellent. Rooms very nice.

Attention needed to shower. First night could not get hot water for shower but hot water for bath. Shower head need cleaning water spraying out of sides everywhere. Our room a bit noisy over bar.

I think being situated in a quaint working village with thatched cottages is really pleasant so for me the location was great.

All round excellent. Food is superb and accommodation is very good. Staff are really lovely and friendly

Unfortunately I had a really bad sleep due to a customers dog barking intermittently for over an hour outside my window between 10.30 till 11.30pm, bar noise,(especially doors slamming as they closed up the bar) and then early delivery of the kegs the next morning. I think I was unlucky but next time I will ask for a stable room.

Staff enthusiastic and very friendly, despite it being very busy. Cleanliness was exceptional as was the food. Basic rooms are a good size with good storage facilities and a good comfy bed. Lovely location.

Nothing really - wifi whilst free is very slow so doubt that you'd be able to stream stuff and signal is patchy, and it's a pub so it's bustling and busy so if that bothers you some earplugs might be an idea.

Took my mum to stay here on a trip to Dorset for her 80th birthday. A beautiful old inn in a picture-perfect Hamlet. The rooms were excellent as was the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole stay was all we could have wished for and more. I heartily recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from it all!

Very quiet comfortable Inn with a good range of food in a friendly and convivial atmosphere.

At some tables the seats are at different heights, a little awkward if dining with friends.

Fabulous hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities, great hotel. Great B & B with a splendid breakfast.

The restaurant food is very overpriced the portions small and it's not very well cooked. It's a shame, it spoils a very nice hotel.

We were very well looked after on arrival and the service of dinner in The Shed and the cuisine were excellent.

Service of breakfast the next day was a little chaotic but errors were cheerfully and pleasantly remedied. I believe that the two staff serving us breakfast were not experienced at doing it in the Museum Inn.

We stayed in the double room (old stable block), annex adjoining hotel - well done out. Lovely & warm in bar area which was a blessing after a chill day walking.

We booked room previous night, when we arrived they weren't prepared for us, we were shown an outside annex, the room was cold (so was the evening), bed sheets cold as ice (did mention this to lady showing us in) came into bar for warmth, as the guest lounge was cold. We took warmth from food, spice vegetable soup (no taste of vegetables). We left the bar, as it was getting noisy from locals - having a good time, luckily the room had heated up by this time (3 hours later). Breakfast - food nice but had to wait ages for it (even though we were the only paying guest) - this was due to hotel inspector being there at the same time, so no effort was taken to look after us. Didn't appreciate this hospitality.

The accommodation was superb. The food was served hot and very tasty. Good value for money. The staff worked really hard to accommodate visitors. Polite and friendly. The location was superb. Very Scenic with lots of walks.

Our room was over the public bar and could be noisy at times. However, this would not deter us from visiting again. Excellent weekend.
