Staff where very good Had issue with room and staff went above and beyond to resolve. Also arrived late after kitchen had closed. Staff where kind enough to still cook me some food.
I loved the style and the beautiful, big, elegant room. Food was brilliant and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely stay here again if I am ever that way
Not much not to like, really. The building is old and despite the very good refurb sound-proofing is a bit of a problem. And it would be good to have a mirror near the pwer socket or a power socket near the mirror, and somewhere in the bathroom to put your sponge bag....
Really nice decor, tastefully furnished. Food and staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing too muh trouble.
The heating was a little odd, was cold and then in the middle of the night went really hot. I'm sure they have sorted out that issue now though.
Beautiful room, well decorated, lovely big bed.
Water not very hot. Service at breakfast time was poor.
Friendly and helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble
Modern, refurbished old building done very tastefully. Every thought had been given to the bedrooms which were spacious and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent and highly recommended. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent stay.
Would not hesitate to go back but slightly let down by breakfast. Mainly the presentation. The food was again excellent but display and choice not quite matching the standard of the rest of the hotel.
The quality of the bar restaurant and rooms were excellent. Tastefully refurbished
The staff were friendly though perhaps not very experienced in the hotel trade. It was a covenient spot for a few days exploring the area. The food was good, our room spacious and comfortable.
The hotel position on the main road could be off putting to some although we didn't notice the traffic noise after the initial hour or so.Little things could be sharpened up eg: the sugar for the coffe/tea in our room was uncovered. The mirror was not near a convenient plug in the room etc However these were minor things and overall our stay was relaxing & enjoyable if slightly overpriced.
room was decorated very well very comfortable bed all mod cons loved the kettle and smart tv and lovely bathroom
the room was over the restaurant so had noise until fairly late from that and early morning also no view from window looked at A wall
Interior design , extremely clean with very friendly staff
Location on busy main road and at a junction.
Good location for our particular trip. Facilities excellent, bedroom good size with very good amenities. Free Wifi available. Very good restaurant. Staff excellent. It was an excellent choice.
Room temperature quite warm and being on the front of the hotel unable to open the windows due to road noise. Air condition unit a consideration?
Everything was perfect, friendly staff, amazing food, lovely room, the stay was a last minute weekend break but the nags head rose above expectations and has created a lasting memory, can't fault the stay :-)
An enjoyable two nights stay with evening meals and breakfasts. A nice place in a wonderful part of the country, nice staff and good food. Everywhere nice and clean and in good order. One downside for us older guests was the staircase, both steep with narrow treads and an awkward return at the bottom, an extra hand rail would be helpful. Somewhere to put shampoo and shower gel in the shower would also be of help. I agree with a previous reviewer that a room guide giving meal times and T.V. operation instructions would be useful. Powis Castle and gardens are a must as is the lovely, small and ancient town of Montgomery together with its ancient but ruined castle. We will be back as there is so much to see and do in the area. Nowhere is perfect but our stay was a nice experience thank you
The hotel was very clean with a very pleasing modern design yet in keeping with an old building. The lay out was spacious and not pokey and everything was done to a high standard. Enjoyed the food, were able to eat outside.
Being so near a road, but would not stop me going again.
The room was lovely with all the needed facilities. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower and the bedroom was very spacious and the idea of sky TV is brilliant also the wifi in the bedrooms was very strong :) The staff were all very friendly and chatty and made us feel so welcome.
We stayed on a very hot day (temps of 30 deg Celsius) and we could've done with a fan perhaps or maybe air con as the room was so hot. Other than this, there were no other faults at all.
food and service
could do with a tidy at front
