The nautical theme and atmosphere,a very pleasant place to stay.
Would like a better selection of meat and vegetarian options on the evening menu.
Good food but bit pricey. Good quality accommodation and good decor very modern and clean,
Noisy road and customer noise need upgraded glazing perhaps
The restaurant and staff were really good.
The room was quite dark and there was a lot of noise from outside and from adjoining rooms. The sound of the kitchen fans and water pipes thro the night was quite annoying.
The staff were very polite & helpful, our room was lovely & clean. The continental breakfast was more than enough, but the cooked breakfast was scrummy! Will definitely go back.
Location , good food and room cleanliness .
The pathway to the room ceiling is full of cobwebs .
Staff were excellent Food was excellent
Poor shower facilities
Location was good for what I had to do. Food was good.
Single room was small, too hot, could not leave main window open as ground level.
Ate in the restaurant. Superb. Everyone very friendly.
Bed was comfortable Great coffee facilities in the room
Outside was so noisy The room was far too hot Shower pressure was terrible
The Nautical decor is very apt for the Navigators location. Our room at the back was clean and the bed very comfortable, we were disturbed by road noise , but because where we live is so quiet any traffic sound disturbs us. Dinner was good and continental breakfast was also enjoyable.
Bathroom was cramped
Staff are great, food good and nice ambience
Deluxe room large and light. Excellent breakfast. Good pub and dining atmosphere. Convenient location.
We enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
The bathroom was very small and aliitle tired looking. The bed was meant to be delux but it appeared to be an average sized bed.
Recently refurbished to modern trendy hotel. Conveniently situated for visiting Southampton ,Portsmouth and surrounding areas, but nothing else is nearby or within walking distance. Good breakfast.
Bathroom nice but nowhere to put anything, needed a shelf or similar.
Nothing - will not go there again!
Everything starting from Reception: felt like entering a pub, smelt like a pub anyway. Then the walk round the building to the stairs to the room under close inspection of several men drinking and smoking outside - pub like experience. The room: really badly smelling bathroom, the cushions on the bed were in great need of a wash: smelling from someone's unwashed hair I suppose. Very noisy, could hear someone next door hanging things on coat hangers. Breakfast: the tables were so dirty I had to use a serviette as tablecloth as it was difficult to eat looking at the state of that table. Cannot believe that hotel is charging £84/night for what it offers – unbelievable!
Evening meal was good, servicewas good, breakfast was good, atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Bed was very comfortable.
The room was fine, but a bit damp smelling, we could easily hear the people in the next room.
Staff, clean rooms
Bathroom, small, odd shape and toilet didn't stop running.
Good location and good food
Room hot and door lock not working
Nice large room
No full length mirror. The room was big enough for a armchair which would be more comfortable to watch TV than the small wooden chair provided.
The staff were extremely helpful and were willing to go the extra mile.
We stayed in a deluxe room, which although extremely clean and comfortable, the entrance was up a steep flight of stairs and the door into the room was difficult as the furniture was placed close to the door!
The welcome from the staff was warm.
The room was tiny. On entering you trip over the door stop and are met with two doors. One is a decent sized cupboard the other is the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. Sitting on the loo your knees touch the door and the shower would make a midget feel claustrophobic. No hair dryer to top it off. Can't see how this room can be deluxe. Maybe there are better rooms and we just happened to get the worst. Not a good experience at all.
Close to Southampton centre, good facilities - recently refurbished. Excellent food.
Damp stains to the ceiling in the bedroom water stains to the walls. Arrived late evening asked if we could get a meal they where still serving we where told no. As a resident staying the night I would expect to be able to eat especially as there was over half an hour until the end of service.
The staff Food Previous stay in the main building was so much nicer
The room Cleanliness How tired the chalet room was Expensive for what it was
