Fantastic hotel . Room excellent everything you need . Very comfortable and luxurious . Definitely be returning . Well done Ellington .
Liked the hotel rooms, nicely decorated and clean and liked the extras you get, great late check out!! Recommended.
A slightly softer mattress and softer dressing gowns would have been great but other than that no complaints.
The room was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable and the bath was a generous size with really nice toiletries
There was no water in the mini bar which was unusual as the bar was providing filtered bottles of it for free. Such a small thing that would have made a huge difference. The pillows were very soft and my request for another firmer one wasn't met, nor did anyone acknowledge it when one didn't arrive in my room as promised. There was no pen in the room to fill in the survey and no information about the hotel or restaurant menu. Add water, the option of firmer pillows and some better info in the room and our stay would have been perfect.
Great location for a night out in Leeds city centre and for Leeds Arena. Quiet area and only a short walk from the railway station.
Re room service. Only one coffee capsule and only decaf tea sachets provided. We asked for additional supplies but none were forthcoming. The price for breakfast seemed a bit steep so we opted out - but for that price it was probably great if you were a big eater.
Hospitality and friendlines of most staff especially reception and restaurant
One receptionist who found paperwork more important than seeing you to the customer
Fabulous location, nice and quiet. Beautiful bespoke fittings
Miserable kitchen waiter who made me feel like I shouldn't have been there.someone should inform him to at least smile .....it's not hard! Plus an English breakfast with no toast - that's just not English!!
Everything. Location was superb 5 mins from station yet a very quiet safe street. Luxurious feel to the room, top quality all round. Outstanding breakfast half price when taken up with the great welcome call made soon after booking.
There were sliding internal shutters rather than curtains which are quite smart but did let some light in so the room wasn't as dark as I would have liked.
Big comfy bed.
The hotel is lovely, modern and comfortable in the centre of leeds.
The restaurant was expensive and no service. We ordered fish at £17 and the size of the wish was half my hand with a few veg. We called the manager out who didn't not offer any customer services whereby any top restaurant at those prices would at least offer a side dish or to change the food. We paid for it even though my client did not eat.i was so embarrassed as I recommended staying in the hotel to eat where we could of eaten in any leeds restaurant at half the price and better food. I think if we would of got any customer service from the manager it would of been worth more than money can buy
Upon arrival, was ignored. When staff finally addressed us, eagerly took credit card, billed entire stay up front, gave us key but did not tell us where to go (it was not obvious). "Executive Suite" was tired and furniture cushions stained. Room smelled like car deodorizer. Although advertised with Internet access, there was none in room. Called to have repaired twice. First, they sent the bar tender up. He was flummoxed and said someone else would come. No one ever did. When called again, staff said, "well, it works in the lobby", and that they had no control over 3rd party whose job it was to provide Internet connectivity. Never offered to fix the problem. No coffee in the room although here was a coffee maker. When my husband called to get some, he was told they were going to service the room after we left and would bring some then. Really? Bathroom shower curtain had stains as did most of the carpeting in the room and the halls. Really gross. I reported all of the above to the head of staffing, she apologized, said that she was just getting back from vacation and that "when the cats away." She took down my email address and said she would have the manager contact me and not to check out, intimating that maybe they would give me a discount (which I did not ask for but would have been nice). Instead, I got an e-bill for the full amount and NO email from management. This hotel was highlighted on Booking.com. Shame on you, Booking! Also, if you look at the reviews, the good ones appear to be written by the same persons. I'm going to send a separate note to the website to let them know as well.
Short walk into Leeds. Large, clean room, nice communal areas and the Gin Garden is great. Breakfast was good. Staff on reception very helpful.
Had to wait about half an hour as our room wasn't ready when we arrived. No parking at hotel - have to park in car park nearby. The drawer containing tea/coffee wasn't very well stocked.
Poor bar staff attitude
The staff were fantastic, the room was just perfect and the room service was quick and delicious. I travel to Leeds quite often for work and will be staying here every time now.
I can't think of anything to write here not even if I am being picky!
Excellent location. Very comfy and modern boutique feel. Executive room was huge with a fantastic bed. Thought has been given to the little details. Friendly staff and a great bar. Only stayed one night but will definitely be back.
Not one thing
Good size room with a really comfy bed. Were able to store luggage before check in and after checked out so that we could go shopping. Only stayed for one night and whilst we didn't use any facilities it all seemed good
We had a drink on returning at about 11.30 and felt the music was a bit loud... Drum and base which didn't really fit the the jazz feel of the hotel. Also very young bar staff who seemed pretty disinterested in serving us. A shame because the reception staff were excellent.
huge bed great location everything perfect.
Central position. Large and very comfortable bed.Rooms at the front of the hotel might be affected by noise from the building site opposite but those at the back of the hotel are very quiet.
It's a style thing, but I found the hotel room very dark and unnecessarily fussy - even hard to work out how to unplug the sink!
Spacious room, comfy bed and near town centre. Staff were warm and friendly.
Fact that despite paying £200 per night, breakfast was extra! Suite had windows that overlooked the inside foyer (bit like an inside cabin on a cruise ship).
Bedroom was functional to an extend and bed was a decent size. Coffee machine was a defo plus!!
No blind as once you slide your shutter out the way its not very private. I'd hope the roller blind was just missing from my room. Plus the main table with chair. Needs either a. Adjustable chair or different table. As you keep bashing your leg/thigh etc into it :(
Friendly, attentive staff Excellent food Atmosphere Location Very comfortable bed
Slight issues with Wi-Fi - fixed later
Great coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms Beautifully decorated rooms. Very large comfortable bed Really spacious . Very friendly and helpful staff I would highly recommend this hotel
It would have been nice to have a walk in shower rather than a shower over the bath .
i was in too late and out too early to use the excellent restaurant this time
Very clean Felt homely Nice breakfast in the morning
Opened the curtains to a building site. Which we wasn't told about on our arrival. Wasn't told there wasn't no car parking.which we was told there was a multi car park around the corner.for £20 per night secure stay . expensive night overall after paying for the room as well.
Decor was excellent, location was convenient, room was nice, loved the bathroom
Little things: Huge construction project right outside the front door, only one room key could work at a time despite trying to fix it 4 times, breakfast and dinner wait staff weren't good, very friendly, but seemed inexperienced. Missed orders, too long of wait on food and bill despite not being busy, etc.
