Loved the jazz theme to this hotel. Good sized room. Great location . Would recommend and stay here again. One of the bar staff was rude. Then realised the error of his ways. (I asked for the Cocktail list, which he kinda threw onto the bar in front of me.

Good friendly service The only thing was the coffee machine not being able to get it to work . It might look pretty but when asked a member of staff they didn't know how to work it either that was the only thing.

Very well presented, excellent in room facilities and very comfortable beds. Food was excellent and the staff are as helpfull as you will find anywhere. Compares very well with the likes of the Westin Grand Palace, Milan.

I found the staff very helpful, the room comfortable and clean. It is situated in a quiet street in the City centre away from the hustle and bustle of night life. I will definitely stay again as travel to Leeds quite regularly.

The design from the pictures Lack of room facilities, no water, mini bar, coffee but no machine. Air con that switched on at 3am without reason to boil the room, but would not work to allow cooling of the room earlier. Room provided was also one for a disabled person, I wasn't asked if I was happy with and told I had booked, yet I hadn't chosen this room. Door card did not work on main entry door so had to wait for someone to come to reception to let me in. Looked good but at £79 - a supposed special rate- it is by no means worth that rate let alone the £120 typical price! Leeds has many hotels closer to station which offer more value for your money and would be my recommendation.

Room was modern, clean and well equipped. The shutter in the room was extremely heavy and took a lot of effort, even for a 12 stone man to move. The coffee machine was difficult to use and didn't give great results.

I stay in a lot of hotels through my business activities and have to say that the New Ellington is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a long time. The hotel and room itself was fantastic, staff were friendly and efficient, and the price was great. I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Nothing

We went to leeds for a concert and found the hotel quite by chance on the internet (booking.com) - I've never been so happy with a random choice: brilliant staff, beautiful room, huge and very comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, everything was fab and we'll never stay anywhere else in leeds Brmc didn't cover "weapon of choice", "as sure as the sun" or "aya" but I guess you can't have everything in life

Very close to the office I was working from. Short walk to City Square and the city centre. I went to the bar for a drink before heading out to meet friends and found the bar unstaffed, so I left for a bar with staff.

The hotel looked very stylish. The bar was nice to relax in before going out - although quite expensive. The bed was huge and very comfy. The bath was a nice size and the rain shower was brilliant. The room had sliding shutters which let in a lot of light - cue waking up at 8am on your day off! The speaker in the bathroom didn't work. The Nespresso machine in our room didn't work - should have been checked first. The mini bar didn't have anything in it, despite the hotel information in the room mentioning it being stocked with drinks and snacks. There was no room service available on Sunday and the restaurant wasn't open. It was also closed Monday morning so there was only room service breakfast available.

The rooms were clean and airy, well designed and great towels and linen. We ordered a sandwich from room service in the morning as we were on the way to Birmingham and were in a rush. On our previous visit we did the same and were delighted at the toasted sandwich. However this time when we ordered sandwiches, it was literally two pieces of toast slapped on the plate with no thought, greenery or anything, hugely disappointing and then I had to pay for it. Spoiled our stay unfortunately.

Guest Relations Manager was absolutely top class. The location was perfect, walking distance to rail station and close to business district. Free wi-fi was excellent. Lobby coffee service a little hap-hazard..
