On 13 acres of beautiful, peaceful grounds, Sedgebrook Hall is in the pretty village of Chapel Brampton. It has an indoor pool, a gym and modern rooms with private bathrooms.

The Swan Revived Hotel is a former coaching inn dating back to the 15th century, situated in the heart of the quaint Buckinghamshire town of Newport Pagnell; just two miles from junction 14 of the M1...

Just off Highway M1, this Hilton hotel has a gym and a swimming pool, 10 minutes from Northampton town center. Rooms have 32-inch TVs and work desks, and free parking is available on weekends.

In rural Northamptonshire, the Narrowboat at Weedon overlooks the peaceful Grand Union Canal.
Score from 169 reviews Very good
I liked the easy check-in, pleasant staff, room size was excellent. Breakfast was very good and it was a very easy drive to Newport Pagnell in the morning from the hotel location.
En-suite, I would have preferred a shower to a bath with no shower head, plugs were not located near any mirrors making hair drying a little difficult. Internet access was quite slow.
Very nice room with comfy bed . Quiet and warm
You have to pay £3 extra to have potatoes with your main course and they have a 12.5% service charge added to your meal ! However the food was very good
Think to describe this hotel as boutique and fine dining is stretching the point. It was clean and the staff tried hard although they were young and inexperienced. Antibacterial handwash is not what I would expect from 'boutique'.
Our stay at the French Partridge was excellant. The staff helpful, surroundings charming and the food superb. We have eaten at the FP before when staying with family and this remains our favourite restaurant. The menus are imaginative and the food is well presented and delicious. Will stay again.
Very conscientious management and good attention to detail Food well above average A nice quiet retreat in the country with a very pleasant environment and character
The location and the style of the hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly. Good breakfast.
The hot drinks at breakfast time were cold.
Beautiful bedrooms, love the roll top bath. Good tasty food.
ate in the restaurant, although food was good it was a bit pricey.
Character of hotel. Room was generous. Great food.
Staff very keen to be helpful. Decor. Food very good.
Pair of stockings behind chair! And biscuit wrappers behind desk. Wonder what the cleaner does?
Overwhelming smell of damp and mould in the room Raw sewage smell on the stairs Extremely rude and uninterested reception staff A broken shower
Old building and country location. Plenty of space in the rooms and nicely furnished.
Kitchen noise underneath us with a very loud ventilation fan which could annoy people looking for a quiet time. Was turned off on request.
A lovely old building - at first glance it looks quite luxurious
Staff were useless, very poor customer service - e.g "your room is at the top of the stairs" "you've got to pay now" (as soon as you walk in the door!). Room decor was tired and the carpets were filthy. Food was very disappointing - both the salmon and venison were dry and had obviously been frozen.
Comfortable room, spacious, en-suite included a bath
Shower head kept falling down mid shower. Poor breakfast. 3* meal at 5* prices...
The rooms were huge. Lots of facilities and very clean. The food in the restaurant was amazing and very good service.
Although the staff were very attentive - a little difficult to understand due to a small language barrier. Could do with a Welcome pack in the room to detail meal timings and local info etc.
Very comfortable and tastefully furnished.
Not having a lift and having heavy cases. But noted staff were very forthcoming in offering to help and lifts don't fit the older style building.
the staff were very friendly and the room was excellent.
Went to the bar for a drink but we were just sat at a dining table, suggest some comfy seats and coffee tables instead
Lovely quiet rural location and pleasant surroundings. Nice bedroom and bathroom - although an out of place filing cabinet was placed in the bathroom!
Breakfast was not as expected I left the ceral and juice, although hot crossiants were good.
lovely restaurant and very helpful staff. good car parking. quiet location. great rooms in old building, clean and well equipped.
nothing really. WiFi didn't work in my room, i think i was too far from the hub but i had no need for it anyway
Old world charm in the village of Horton, comfortable and relaxing. Easy to find with ample parking in a truly lovely setting. The front of the house is a gorgeous sight. Personal service in a small boutique hotel. Traveling from Canada with an 18 yr old and a six yr old... we all enjoyed The French Partridge. We had a lovely suite with two bedrooms and great full English breakfast included (continental also available) - the staff asked when we wanted meals and staff were ready for us when we came to the breakfast room or dining room...always on hand to provide what we requested. Suite had an excellent bathroom with lots of fresh white towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner - clawfoot bathtub and separate rain-head shower - ample steaming hot water. As a separate room from our bathroom we had a toilet with wash-basin. Staff friendly and really excellent for service and information. Fine-dining restaurant, food wonderful (highly recommend the scallops, pork and salmon). Lovely surroundings, waking to birdsong in the mornings. Pleasant local pub (White Hart) was also great for more kid-friendly food. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the experience. Looking at the prior reviews we wondered about returning to the property late at night...actually no problem as they provide all guests with room and front door keys. Situated on a minor road, hardly any traffic noise - hardly any traffic! We attended a wedding at Woburn Abbey and, seeing and comparing notes on quality and cost of rooms in Woburn with our accommodation, we were so delighted at our choice. The cost is reasonable and, although paying the room costs on arrival is unusual for standard hotels, it is not so unusual for boutique properties internationally - we had no misgivings and no problems - they take VISA MC and cash. Very convenient location... a few miles from the M1 and fairly close to Northampton. Highly recommend this gem of a place...will likely stay there again.
We are very experienced travellers and, when I looked at the reviews I wondered about the negative comments - apparent late access - apparent traffic noise - bathroom deficiencies.... as indicated in my positive comments - this was not our experience. As we were there for a few days, I had the chance to peek into a few other guest rooms after guests had checked-out... they looked great. This is a charming old world hotel with small set of friendly staff. If you expect corporate organization and modern precision then it probably is not for you. On the other hand, we logged on to their WiFi and it was excellent, good enough for streaming Netflix, they have two internet-servers (don't forget to ask for the password). If you want to enjoy a relaxed stay away from hustle and bustle in a really charming spot, then this is for you.
Great value for money
Uneven flooring and very creaky floorboards on the top floor. (But it is an old building and could be considered characterful.)
Loved the location (easy and scenic rides to multiple historic cities, castles, museums) and the atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Hearty breakfast. Large, bright, quiet and comfortable room.
There was no elevator and several stair treads showed the age of the house. We were afraid one or two might let go during our stay. The bath tub/shower was quite slippery and needed some sort of interior mat (we used a hand towel to avoid falling).
We stayed in a beautiful family room, it had an enormous amount of space. We had a roll top bath and waterfall shower. There beds were very comfortable and then decor was luxurious and stylish. There saff were warm and welcoming and looked after us all the way through our stay. It is such a beautiful hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful and would bring warm milk for our daughter who's 2.
The receptionists were cordial and helpful. The room and environ was clean and cosy.
It was a bit cold through the night. Asked for warming of the room but did not happen until following morning
