The cleanliness, and comfort level of the room were excellent for the reasonable price paid. The breakfast was 1st class. the short window allowed for breakfast, The early checkout time. Breakfast on a Sunday was 09.00 - 10.00, and checkout deadline was also 10.00.

staff and management always outstandingly helpful. We have stopped there a few times over the years and the only thing that has changed is the evening menu. I would give it !00% if it would accept small dogs, but I can understand why! Menu is now rather comprehensive now but we did like it when we could have something like ham, eggs and chips!

The staff were helpful and friendly, the room spacious and comfortable. We didn't have an evening meal but the food looked excellent When we asked if they did a vegetarian breakfast the reply was yes, but it was rather sad in comparison with the full English, as it was the same but without sausage, bacon and black pudding, it would have been nice to have something extra rather than just one fried egg, beans, mushrooms and tomato.

The most important thing to me in any hotel is that its quiet, clean, wifi and a comfy bed and the New Inn provides just that. Friendly staff as well made for a good nights stay

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived at the hotel and the booking from booking.com had not reached them. I was concerned about not having anywhere to stay but they had vacancies and put my mind at rest immediately. I ate dinner in the restaurant and had breakfast in the morning, both of which were very good. Not a problem really but the dining room at breakfast was silent so you could hear other diners eating. Might have been nice to have on a radio with the breakfast news or music at a low level to break the silence.

Great little place in a great location! Traditional pub with a warm and cosy atmosphere. Spacious rooms with good TV. Food very good and a super choice on the menu. Breakfast was great and the service was friendly - thank you :-) Not the hotels fault but the phone signal here is virtually non-existant. Wi-Fi not that good either but if these things don't bother you too much and you like a quiet relaxing night - stay at the New Inn !!

I liked the location. The restaurant is very good, the food is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms, whilst spacious enough are a little dated. I could not get the shower in the bathroom to run anything other than cold water. The front part of the shower that you turn to switch it on dropped off as did part of the cold water tap in the wash basin.

The staff were very friendly and helpful recieved a warm welcome when I arrived. Service was excellent all the way through. The hotel has a no smoking policy throughtout the premises. Stayed in Room 17 and kept getting a waft of smoke through the window. The apex above the receiption door was full of discarded cigarette butts from people smoking out of the window. Would not recommend Room 17 to stay in

Very friendly and caring staff all of whom had genuine bright smiles and happy characters. Plenty of attendance and care throughout our excellent family meal. Food was really good value for money. We were made to feel welcome and thus relaxed even more to our celebration meal. Overnight accommodation was booked so as to allow to enjoy a drink with our meal. What a good idea this was. Our room was clean, well furnished and of a high standard. The staff on the hotel side were just as caring and welcoming as the pub side. It was obvious from our visit (which won't be the last!) that 'family' was a term to embrace both employees and guests. Nothing. All was good.
