The New Inn  

The New Inn is charming, with excellent customer service. It is located centrally to the Cathedral, and other places of interest in the city. Charming, good food, good staff, quaint but providing all the modern conveniences. I would surely recommend to anyone wanting a place with comfort and character.

The atmosphere and history of this 11th century inn is amazing. Also a fantastic rear garden with views of its next door neighbour Salisbury Cathedral.

Parking is a bit of a hassle.

The fact the stairs were quite steep & the hot water in the basin never seemed to arrive in the baisin.

lovely old pub with beams and original features. A beer garden which was beautifully lit with views of Salisbury Cathedral. Good local ales. Warm and clean rooms with comfy bed and shower room. Friendly staff..WiFi available to residents.

These are rooms over a pub in a listed building so had a more personal feel. Bottled water, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, milk and cream together with a good range of biscuits was available in the room. The landlady was extremely helpful and breakfast didn't follow a menu but the range of dishes on offer where they have only 4 rooms was extensive. I have already booked to stay again.

The room was a bit hot and the radiator wasn't easily adjustable but this was sorted out for me while having dinner and was fine by the time I needed to go to sleep. One other point, because it's a listed building they haven't been able to create en-suite bathrooms but you still get your own bathroom (shower only) opposite the room and robes are provided.

Our room was very old and full of character but very comfortable. Also there was a generous quantity of tea, coffee, hot chocolate an biscuits. The pub downstairs served absolutely delicious meals which are a must for guests. staff were very welcoming to our young son too.

We had to walk down a (public guest) hall to get to our (private) bathroom. Also there was quite a bit of noise from below but it would only be an issue if a band were playing. The worst thing was no carpark and not much available near by apart from paid parking.

Warm, friendly, rustic, cosy. Attentive and friendly staff. Cozy room but traffic a bit noisy after 07:00.

Had to cross corridore to use bathroom, traffic noise, wireless internet doesn't really work.

The atmosphere!

Beautiful old building right in the city centre. Very convenient for cathedral and shopping. Really nice pub downstairs, they let us stay and have a drink after the pub closed. 4 guest rooms upstairs and rooms were cosy and comfortable with private bathrooms. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

No parking. They have an arrangement with a hotel down the road to park there, but it's £10/night which is too expensive. Also when I was trying to confirm whether or not we could have an extra bed in the room, nobody answered any emails and on the phone I could only speak to bar staff who couldn't answer my question.

Very old and historic and the rooms had been decorated sympathetically. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were excellent but were not ensuite which is just one of those things in a very old building. Food was good pub grub.

No Wi-Fi which is an issue for business use.

It's huge charm as a 15th century building so close to the cathedral and the centre of Salisbury. It is also within easy walking distance from the train station on a very picturesque route

The New Inn was exactly what I was hoping it would be...tons of character without feeling dirty or dingy. The staff was friendly and helpful and the bathroom was clean and completely updated. The garden was amazing and the views were breathtaking, even on a rainy day.

The private bathroom is across the hall, not connected to the bedroom...but this minor inconvenience is a small price to pay considering the rest of the experience.

Very helpful and nice landlady in an old and very special pub right in the center of Salisbury. Some traffic noise. Near Cathedral and pedestrian areas. Full english breakfast with all you need and more - top quality.

Friendly staff.Hotel was very comfortable and the food was good.We enjoyed our stay very much and the location was great.Useful having the White Hart hotel to park our car overnight which was very close.

This is an old, half timbered traditional pub with 3 rooms in the centre of Salisbury - but with more space than you would expect inside, and a really lovely garden at the back with views of the Cathedral. Very welcoming, with an excellent menu, the staff are brilliant - friendly and helpful - and a good choice of local beers. Room - with sloping floor and low height door - was very comfortable, with the well-equipped, well presented bathrooom opposite (not en-suite). Breakfast delicious.

Double yellow lines outside mean unloading car with hazards on; but arrangement to park car in White Hart Hotel 200m away was fine.

Welcome, history, friendliness, breakfast, comfort, garden, location with the Cathedral and the river walks. Location to Salisbury centre and other attractions. Easy walking distance to the station.

We enjoyed our stay at The New Inn, the room was comfortable the staff were friendly. It is central so can be noisey even after pub closes. The pub is hunted but not in a spooky way. Toby is a really friendly helpful guy he tries to help you in every way possible. We would come back and stay again.

Use of the bath room at night across the hall was quite un-nurving, but understand it is the only way to give guests a en-suit to there room.

La struttura è bellissima, in un pub storico veramente affascinante. La nostra camera era arredata benissimo e, seppure il bagno non è direttamente nella camera, è ad uso esclusivo ed è bello. La sera abbiamo deciso di cenare nel pub e abbiamo mangiato squisitamente. Non dimenticherò mai il sapore dell'anatra confit e del patè di pollo. Veramente tutto eccezionale.

l'authenticite de l' auberge medievale, la qualite du service et la gentillesse de la patronne ( sans parler des fantômes!)

De autentieke sfeer en gezelligheid is geweldig. De kamers en badkamers zijncomfortabel, schoon,en netjes. Het ontbijt heerlijk. De ligging is centraal dichtbij de kathedraal en het oude centrum. Er is een regeling voor parkeren bij het White Hart hotel. Kortom een heerlijk en gezellig verblijf gehad in The New Inn. Een aanrader.
