very welcoming manager. Great location. Welcomed children. Needs some money spent on accomodation, beds, carpets in our room and communal areas need changing - look worn and grubby - however, am sure it was cleaned as much as possible but not fair to ask someone to make the place look good with such poor furnishings. Breakfast limited if you don't want full english. |

There was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the Inn. The food was good and of a home-cooked style. The accomodation was of good quality and had a traditional country feel. It was a great base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. |

The family room worked well for us. We could eat at the New Inn which was helpful with children. The afternoon/ evening staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast/ morning staff were not so friendly. |

The staff were brilliant and the breakfast was very good. The corridors and bar area is in need of being renovated which is why I thought it was expensive for the quality. The room however was fine and it was a convenient place for us to stay. |

The landlady was nice and friendly. The breakfast was excellent so was the shower. The beds were a little uncomfortable. The meal we had there in the evening could have been better. This in my opinion lets the place down. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the building is charming, clean and well kept. The food is not of gourmet standard, but is perfectly acceptable for the price. The noise! Traffic goes past frequently until well after midnight, and restarts at 5 in the morning, but the worst is the internal noise. There has been no attempt made at soundproofing. From 10pm until about 3am, all the fire doors were slammed continually as people went to bed, and it sounded like a herd of elephants as the people walked across the floor above us. Also we could hear the music from the bar, as the loudspeaker is directed at the ceiling, about a foot above it and directly below my bed (room 1). |

Traditional pub with rooms. The room was more than adequate at the price. The food, both breakfast and evening meal was of a good standard. Staff, particularly the landlady, were very helpful. (Including finding us alternative accommodation on the first night following a power cut) Our room was not serviced on the grounds we had not requested it. (Though we were then given free access to the store cupboard to replenish supplies!) |

The staff were friendly and helpful, looked after our bags on the day we checked out so we could go walking locally. Food was generally very good, room was clean and comfortable, with a kettle (essential!). No food served after 9pm meant we had to leave London before 6pm on a work night to ensure we arrived in time to eat. There is literally nowhere else to eat out in Winchelsea. Hotel is a little tatty in communal areas like the bar and restaurant. |
